The truck was engineered to safely drive through 36ā of water. Thatās a pretty amazing feet for a BEV that has high/low voltage wiring harnesses and a huge battery pack.
Itās known as de-contenting in the business and every manufacturer does it to save costs. The manufacturer hopes the consumer doesnāt notice.

The money saved on a Cybertruck paint shop is a huge capital expense that wonāt be necessary. No E-coat, rinse vat, baking cycle, pigment based color coat, clear coat, etc.
Still no delivery window but they did grant me access to the R1T Shop 2-days ago.

2/21 reservation. I was granted access on September 19th. Rivian had 5 R1Tās to choose from and now down to 4.
Many were Launch Editions where the tonneau cover and 20ā AT wheels were no charge.

Itās a $73k LE with a GW exterior and OC interior with 20ā AT wheels. The only thing itās really missing is the āmust haveā spare tire.
