  1. Cmon Rivian uncork the Quad Motor!

Horsepower isn't about just launching. Torque is most important for launch. Horsepower helps throughout the entire acceleration curve.
  2. Cmon Rivian uncork the Quad Motor!

It's a well known fact that the 110 speed restriction causes the car to lose E.T. in the quarter mile.
  3. Cmon Rivian uncork the Quad Motor!

We all know that there's a few extra horsepower available in the each of those motors. 110 speed restriction seems arbitrary. Let's get a software update going and make some tweaks!
  4. 12V Questions

The switch definitely happened. Our July build R1S has one battery, verified by mobile service tech who took off cover and showed me.
  5. Official Cybertruck Pricing - Starts at $60K+

And with an all steel front, wait till you take it down the highway and a rock kicks up
  6. Vampire drain - what's the latest battery % loss people are getting?

I think it's the .42 update. Went from 0-1 miles lost overnight to 4-5 consistently immediately after the update. Hopefully the next sw update corrects.
  7. Crap Rivian just lost fastest truck title (to Cybertruck)

Didn't they quote the cyber with rollout?
  8. 2023.46 Software Update Details (Highway Assist / Driver+ / Navigation & More...)

Editing trips can't come soon enough. We have had to do multiple drives without nav because we couldn't remove charging stops and the car started preconditioning the battery when we didn't plan on charging
  9. Software Update 2023.42.0 is out (⚠️ UPDATE: OTA fix rolling out today 11/15/23)

Wish I skipped this update. Went from negligible vampire drain to 4 miles lost overnight last night
  10. Rivian Max Pack EPA Data (document shows 141-142 kWh usable battery)

I think the large pack is getting sandbagged. The gross capacity of the large is 141kwh and the api reports 127 usable
  11. Cell balancing

Does anyone know if there is a specific state to do cell balancing on the Rivian pack? Ie need to charge above 95 etc.
  12. Software Update 2023.42.0 is out (⚠️ UPDATE: OTA fix rolling out today 11/15/23)

Anyone seeing worse vampire drain from this update? Went from 0-1 mile loss overnight to 2 miles overnight
  13. Software Update 2023.42.0 is out (⚠️ UPDATE: OTA fix rolling out today 11/15/23)

installed this morning as well. went smoothly and zero issues since. PAAK even better than before.
  14. I wish Rivian would enable the tank turn!

This. It's avoidance of warranty claims and reliability hit, not "the environment"
  15. Please re-design or improve the Climate Control / AC Navigation Controls

Completely agreed. I think this results in quite a bit of lost efficiency as well.
  16. Max Pack Battery Capacity Confirmed - 149kWh

Yep, but I imagine you wouldn't be driving at 80 in bad weather so there is some efficiency offset there to consider. Agreed on the 180kwh pack. Especially for the price difference.
  17. Max Pack Battery Capacity Confirmed - 149kWh

Correct My point was that the math all checks out from the difference in added KWH between the large and max packs based on known capacity added (within 1% variance). The second point is the primary difference is the way the EPA testing is done for the drive modes from a quad versus a dual. Even...
  18. Max Pack Battery Capacity Confirmed - 149kWh

It's pretty straightforward. Look at the ratings of the large pack on the dual motor 21s R1S in the configurator - 352 mi / 127 kw = 2.771 kwh/mi. Now the max 400 / 2.771 = 144.3 which is essentially the usable capacity of the max pack as confirmed. The main difference is the efficiency of...
  19. Did the .20 large pack range update get rolled back?

this is the part that's confusing. My lifetime is .21 on ATs and i'm showing 273 but it doesn't match across multiple locations being reported in the car (energy screen vs the drivers screen, vs the app)
