I beg to differ. I followed my R1T as it was flat-beded from the collision center to an SC for a recalibration. They have since learned to put it in service mode to prevent the cameras from working, but I can still track it from the "waiting for something" parking location into one of the...
Well Mr Sarcastic, I don't push the button multiple times. I just hit it with the hose spray and it closes. Much easier than getting into my truck, listening to the HVAC and infotainment system activating, and THEN hitting the one button.
Sitting at the dump waiting for my turn on the scale to dump brush (free for homeowners) and my Go Chime dinged. I was daydreaming and it was my turn. Took me a bit to figure out what it was, but it beat a horn from the guy behind me!
Interesting. I've accidentally hit the Park button while driving and all I got was a message to reduce my speed before engaging Park. No grinding or even slowing down.
In case it helps anyone, I recently tracked down an odd noise when I drove over a rough spot. The guide wheels on the plastic piece that spans the crack when the tailgate is open were not making contact with the tailgate when it is closed. I glued on a small piece of black rubber where the two...
I have a Razr+ and have a similar experience. It used to work fine but stopped a month or so ago. If I stop and start Bluetooth on my phone it unlocks fine. I went through all of the battery saving and background settings but no joy. My wife's iPhone works flawlessly.
This morning I deleted my...
That's all good but doesn't appear to include recalibration which, while not overly expensive, is a real pain in the rear when your service center is 4 hours away! My collision center was $100 more than Rivian but included a wash and detail.
Unless there is an issue recalibrating... then the finger pointing starts. I don't get why all Safelite shops don't recalibrate. You can either do the entire job or you can't. I now chuckle at their commercials where "They come to you." Sure, and then you have to go somewhere have someone finish...
My nearest Safelite couldn't do the recalibration so I went to a Rivian Certified body shop and had them do it all. For comparison, my cost was $2100 and change covered by insurance.
I've been through 2 not at fault accidents and a weather related windshield crack on my R1T totalling $40k in repairs for truly non-impact hits. I am not blaming Rivian as much as I'm crediting all of the additional technology (our Ford Explorer didn't do any better in the body shop). I told my...
I had the same experience but I do remember something flying off an oncoming truck a month before and hitting the windshield. The defroster definitely got the crack going. I no longer use it to melt ice, I scrape it and let the cabin heat finish the job.
For those involved in this campaign, I used the app to chat with the Rivian AI bot and it set me up with a service request for a mobile service for the knuckle campaign. A couple of days later I got a call scheduling a visit in 2 weeks, which isn't too bad considering they take the boat to our...
Huh. It never occurred to me it was a toggle. I always thought it was two buttons which is how it works for me now. Pushing the Lock button does wake my locked truck but leaves it locked.
I guess I'm just a simple streamer, but while waiting for my ferry and then another hour until I lost cell service, I watched 2 hours of Paramount+. Phone was on Connect+ and the Paramount app supports Google Cast. Worked great.
