As you say the lower ride height improves efficiency only a small amount, but on a long journey that may be important.
IMO another important reason to use Auto is safety. Lower cg is Safeway higher speed in case of emergency maneuvers.
Question for you
I have used Blizzaks on my Outbacks for...
Rivian is opening the RAN network.
Rivian is switching to NACS.
What will that transition look like?
Will they add a NACS cable?
Will they replace the CCS plug with a NACS plug?
With adapter required or built in Magicdock?
From today’s Rivian newsletter
We are hard at work finalizing the digital experience you will enjoy in your Rivian and on your mobile app. Because R1 vehicles have a Combined Charging System (CCS) chargeport, you will need a NACS DC adapter to use the Supercharger network. Rivian will be...
No.
I bought the R1S for a bigger vehicle as my son and his friends are now in high school and getting tall.
In 4 years, assuming he has left our home, I will look at the R2 as a replacement, but I see no need to put a deposit down now.
This type of damage keeps coming up in the forum.
Some are being repaired with PDR.
There are often comments that the vehicle will be totaled but are there any forum members that have had a vehicle totaled for such little damage?
As with previous comments the incident should be recorded and saved . I have never plugged in a drive and my son discovered an “incident “ of mine saved , when I drifted my S in a ski area parking lot ;-)
I would contact Rivian support to help retrieve that data.
I had this message for the first time last night and my CVSE is only 5kW and it was about 40F. Dropped from usual 4.4kW into R1S to about 3kW. Obviously nothing to do with the ambient temperature for me. I have a Clipper Creek that has worked for my Volt flawlessly for 10 years. I have had my...
No. Preheating is cabin temperature only.
Preconditioning of the battery can occur in 2 ways:
In app go to Climate and create a schedule for when you want to leave.
Use the navigation to drive to a Level 3 station.
When my S was in for repair the other week Service discovered that my door inside sensor for the keycard was not working. I had only used the keycard once on delivery day and all appeared to function normally because I was within the 60 second window. Perhaps everyone should test the keycard...
From what you have said in this thread I do do not think you need the Quad set up. I think you would be most happy with DM Performance with Max pack on 21s.
don’t forget your home charging set up. You may be needing to charge 100+ kWh overnight, so a high power L2 is essential.
Some times we get surprised.
with the CT disappointments for range and price it is possible that some CT reservation holders may take a look at the R1T.

It is a little weird that the OP has not come back to give more details or updates.
However, to those that say that you always get a quick response from guides that does not negate less than stellar responses that other customers have experienced.
In my own experience I had 3 day non-response...
I have seen no change from 273 for my R1S since delivery; 2 months and 2,000+ miles.
With the winter weather my trip readings have all been way less than 2 miles/kWh.
