  1. Bit of a pickle… home purchase.

No mortgage company wants to see any credit inquiries or changes after an offer is made before the clear to close. It likely wouldn't detail anything, but not worth the risk.
  2. Bit of a pickle… home purchase.

Good to know. I'm sure I'll be fine timing wise then.
  3. Bit of a pickle… home purchase.

Pretty sure it was your post from then that made me scared of exactly that happening. Hence why I don't want to tell the guide.
  4. Bit of a pickle… home purchase.

Ahhh good to know I can do that. Yeah ill be using Hanscom. Great rates.
  5. Bit of a pickle… home purchase.

Well financing is like step 3 is the problem. Not sure how long it takes to get there but I’ve heard of a lot of folks insuring and paying for their car long before they ever took delivery.
  6. Bit of a pickle… home purchase.

Long story short I am closing on a house 10/25. I was really hoping I wouldn’t get any delivery until then but of course I got my email saying I can start the steps and my guide assigned. I actually sort of need he truck now as I need something that can tow BUT I can’t do anything that will...
  7. Efficiency / range at 80 mph?

Come to the east coast. Genuinely they're always at least half out of order. Lots of YouTube vids out there complaining about it. I would agree though, the model S is the only tolerable Tesla (we have two). If it wasn't for it being electric it would more or less be junk. Lots of build issues...
  8. Got the Tony Email … and a Guide

Same email and also got a guide. Just south of Boston. Happy days.
  9. Efficiency / range at 80 mph?

Consider yourself lucky. EA chargers tend to be about 50% out of order in my experience with my Mach-E and I-Pace. Often quite a ways off the highway, charging quite a bit slower then advertised. Unfortunately the charge network is about 50% of the entire reason to buy a Tesla in the first...
  10. Efficiency / range at 80 mph?

Those hitch bike racks KILL efficiency. I could knock off 5mpg because of mine on my hemi grand Cherokee. It's outrageous.
  11. Efficiency / range at 80 mph?

That’s not half bad. Mostly flat near you? I tend to get 280-290 out of my p100d. So that’s close. I also went for full efficiency in the wheels and no Offroad pack. It’s a 6k lb truck with effectively three lockers. Street tires are fine.
  12. Efficiency / range at 80 mph?

Good info, thanks. About what I figured. 240-260 miles from 100%. Gonna make my annual 2400 mile road trip take a while. Ah well. I had a max pack reserved but I think thats vaporware. Changed to large and got guide contact two weeks later.
  13. Efficiency / range at 80 mph?

Yep, totally agreed. I've had several ev's and generally can still settle around 75-80 (usually at 78) to still get efficient numbers. For example my P100D will do as good as 3.5 mi/kw from 75-80 once everything is warm. Generally my speeding is more about being able to drive lazily in the...
  14. Efficiency / range at 80 mph?

Lots of typical posts of people going speed limit or close to it getting great mi/kwh. But I'm curious what people get for efficiency going 80ish mph; my standard road trip cruise control setting.
  15. Massachusetts (close-ish to the Chelsea SC) Orders?

Just got assigned a guide, so I guess they are delivering around here. Ordered 11/21.
  16. Massachusetts (close-ish to the Chelsea SC) Orders?

I have been getting my hopes up as I am starting to see a lot of Rivians locally but I am wondering if folks are getting them from Rivian directly or buying from auction sites? The reason I ask is that I am now in need of a tow rig and I am hoping the R1T I ordered 11/21 might show up...
  17. R1T trip report - SF bay area to Boise roundtrip with a payload (1300 miles) - Long w/ data!

I think it's the wind that kills efficiency with a bike in the back, not weight. I've done some big road trips in ice trucks with either a motorcycle in the back or something so stupid as a hitch bicycle rack with a few bikes on it and I notice a 5-7mpg loss @ 80mph. One time I pulled the...
  18. Switching from Max Pack to Large Pack, how does it change delivery window?

Sorry, meant to say it doesn't sound like they'll even think about selling one *to me* until 2024.
  19. Switching from Max Pack to Large Pack, how does it change delivery window?

Just for kicks I made this switch as well because I am trying to consolidate cars for a smaller driveway so I would like a daily driver that can tow... in fact I ordered a Grand Cherokee 4xe because it seemed like my rivian is going to be years out. I would love the Max Pack for road trips, but...
  20. R1T Trip report. Round trip Portland OR to San Jose CA

Yeah that isn't accurate unfortunately. That thing does around 1.9 in all the reviews I have seen. My S P100D, 85D, or Mustang Mach-E couldn't touch 3.45. The Mach-E got the closest at 3.33 and change sometimes.
