My truck is built in Normal, IL. Like everyone else I am waiting on the edge of my seat for delivery. How long has delivery been taking folks to get to Chelsea from Normal once built and VIN assigned to your account?
This is why I use the % battery meter rather than the GOM (guess o meter) and do the math in my head myself. If it was saying 10 miles to spare thats probably 5% remaining battery at best. I don't go to any destination without at least 10% remaining.
For a truck like this the BFG KO2 is the best tire ever made if you ask me. Excellent road manners and excellent off road or snow traction / durability. I messed around a little bit on tire rack and found wheels that will fit the rivian with some 33-34" KO2's but obviously haven't tried them...
Hanscom FCU is still doing 75 months @ 4.19%. Pretty terrible compared to 6 months ago but good for right now.
They're a little slow but once you get an underwriter you can email them directly going forward. I've got Adonis saved in outlook. I ask him for money more often then I'd like to admit.
There is massive overhead for every trip start in lower temps to get the battery pack, interior, etc up to temp. Since I dont have a rivian yet I dont know how the trip computer works but if it continues after stopping until it is manually reset and the OP stopped and started again several...
I don't know anything about the Pirellis, nobody who ever thought about offroading bought Pirellis to do it. But, I'm sure durability is worse on the street tire no doubt, but its really just worse on the sidewalls. Watch for jagged rocks stabbing at the sidewall. The good news is with this...
I have done a lot of off-roading in several very built wranglers and can say without much of any doubt that with four motors and as much weight as this truck has, the street 21s will be plenty for about 99.9% of off-roading these trucks will ever see. The truck has the ICE equivalent of three...
I have a 15 85D and a 17 P100D on full regen mode, both give up regen around 10mph and coast to a stop. I wouldn't call it true one pedal drive like the Mach-E, though one pedal can be used most of the time.
On #5, does it transition to friction brakes below a certain speed or does it just regen brake to a stop? My model S gives up on regen around 10mph where my Mach-E would switch to friction brakes to bring me to a complete stop for true one pedal driving.
yep, I wont let them write me the check until after the clear to close (if not close itself). But I think I can stretch the process until then. The truck is built but still in Normal.
Awesome, sounds like conserve mode makes a massive difference. I wonder if it backs off battery heating and HVAC like the Tesla range mode does. That would be a reason to use it sparingly but until I hear otherwise I plan on kicking it on for every road trip.
This might come in handy for those that end up in my situation. I just confirmed with my credit union that they dont have to pull my credit again to process a loan for me because I purchased another car through them within the last year. I realize this might be rare, but I can now consider...
