Service IS the achilles heel of Rivian. I just keep hoping it gets better with more service centers. I think they had no choice…..should they have built many service centers before they manufactured vehicles?? I dont think so.

Wow, so so sorry to hear about this horrible experience. It would be bad in a $40K car much less a $100K vehicle. Service and repair IS the major deficiency for Rivian. The dept is just overwhelmed and playing catchup from the start.

I tried hooking that feature up when we first bought the R1S over a year ago and gave up and just installed a clicker on the visor. Old school I guess. JB

The service category IS the weak link for Rivian for sure. I dont know how they could have set it up any differently though. Do they go ahead and build many service centers with the commensurate investments before they manufacture cars so the service can be ideal or do they start selling cars...

I am good with it as safety is the highest priority. Many places it is a signal lane road on 395 which should be 100% focus

I make at least 3 trips up 395 from hermosa Beach per year and found the same thing. I figure it just does not know its exact location well enough so the system is being extra safe. I am no expert though. I also prefer hands on when it is a single lane.
