That is correct.
On the main display to the right of the steering wheel you can show a top view along with a front or rear view. Or you can show two side views along with a front or rear view.
When you are displaying the camera views somewhere near the lower left you can "touch" the leftmost...
You might want to go talk to whoever you were going to have do the PPF. Let them evaluate whether or not they can do the paint repairs themselves.
My R1S is in the middle of PPF application. The company doing this for me has been applying PPF for 12 years they said. They do all kinds of...
The GVWR is different for each end (was going to say "axle", but there are none) of the vehicle. On my R1S the front GVWR is 4134 lbs., and the rear GVWR is 4960 lbs.
So two of those tires you picked would support, using your figures, 5202 lbs. Is that sufficient for the rear GVWR of 4960...
When I selected a vehicle from the R1 Shop it actually did display the VIN. I even took a picture of my computer display just to have a record of the VIN.
Btw, I did not begin the 8 steps, other than uploading my driver's license, until a week later.
Yes, I am aware thread is old, but there was some other recent activity; so I thought I would take the opportunity to voice my concern.
I am also aware that the key fob (and phone) can be used either actively, passively, or both. I still wanted to voice my concern about any passive...
Thanks. Sounds even better than expected. I don’t know how you figured out this jack could do it, but I am glad you did bcuz I was unable to find a suitable bottle jack after searching for over a week.
I Just bought one on Ebay.
Could be wrong, but I believe the problems they have been having are with PAAK, not with the key fob.
Each to their own, but I do not want the key fob to "automatically" unlock my vehicle as I approach it. I actually WANT to actively do something to unlock my vehicle. I deactivated my phone...
I have the reinforced underbody shield on my R1S, but that is because I do intend to use it offroad. The vehicle does have shielding on the underside normally, but it is just not as substantial as the reinforced shield. Snow is not an issue at all for the vehicle with the normal shielding; so...
Check out Thuren Fabricating for wheels, 20" x 8" with +50mm offset, designed for the Rivian. They are not cheap, but you don't have to buy a bundle of wheels + tires as at Rivian. They talk mainly of off-roading, but you can use whatever type tires you want...
Possibly of interest, Thuren Fabrication has machined their own wheels, 20" x 8" with +50 offset. In addition to the standard Rivian AT (275/65R 20) they've tried 295/60R 20, and 295/65R 20 tires. See their discussion and a short video at...
It's worth zero if you never need to use it, but could be very worthwhile if you need it. I think odds of winding up with a 'totaled" Rivian in an accident is much greater than with other vehicles simply because of how expensive it is to repair them according to accident discussions in the...
In the Rivian Owner's Guide it says to use a 3 ton jack with a 23" reach. I can find lots of floor jacks on wheels that have or exceed the 23" reach, but floor jacks are mainly for use in the garage, driveway, or on some other hard surface. Besides they cannot be easily carried in an R1S.
I...
I am with you. I also would like to know what and why my vehicle is communicating with various outside organizations. Your post about your vehicle having uploaded data really got me wondering; so I checked up on my R1S. I picked up my R1S on June 29, and you can clearly see in the pic below...
So it was ultimately hauled to a Service Center. Apparently, the flatbed that hauled it was able to enable the vehicle to move unless they simply dragged it onto the flatbed with all wheels locked. I am thinking they followed these instructions out of the Rivian Owner's Guide:
If in fact...
The issue about "lockers" for the 4 motor Rivian is going to be solved in the future. Actually, via the software control of the 4 motors the wheels can all be controlled to turn at exactly the same speed. That is not the problem. Very precise control at very slow speeds is the problem.
With ICE...
Agree, 100%.
We often hear people ask the question, "I have nothing to hide. Why should I care about my privacy?"
Well, we all know what goes on in a bathroom, but we still close the door. That's because we want privacy, not secrecy!
