Thank you for your comment. After reading that I went out and tried swapping the caps on the two vehicles, and it is just as you said ... either one fits on either wheel. The actual threaded part is the same size. Now I would like to figure out why the tire pressure gauge would not attach...

By the way, I have the 20" dark wheels with the AT tires.

Confusing! Here are pics of the caps from the valve stems on the 2023 Rivian R1S and on my Cheve Express Passenger Van. The pic at the wheel is the valve stem on the R1S. That is a very significant difference.

I am trying to find a screw on or clip on tire pressure gauge for my R1S. I bought one, and when I went to screw it on I found out the Rivian valve stem is much smaller in diameter than on all other vehicles I have ever seen. Obviously, I have led a sheltered life with respect to valve stems...

When you are comparing VINs and build dates keep in mind that they are building over 4000 vehicles per month in order to make the committed 50,000 this year.

Rivian has committed to building 50,000 units in 2023 which calculates out to an average of 4166 vehicles per month. Of course, that includes the R1T, R1S, and the Amazon delivery vehicle.
