You are probably aware that on a Rivian the TPMS donât register until you drive a bit as per the Ownerâs Guide, and you have probably tried reading them after driving 10 minutes or so.
So, as someone else suggested, go to Discount Tire, Tire Rack, or other tire shop where they can check them by...
Take a look at www.thurenfabrication.com under wheels for R1 vehicles. Not a lot of info, but they did try that tire size. They also have a short video.
Really like your pretty thorough explanation of the Midland install.
Why did you add the larger antenna? Is the one that comes with it not good enough? What is benefit of larger one?
My guide was Britney. She did an excellent job helping me thru my purchase. Usually, I am not an easy customer to please due to all my questions and then follow-up questions, but Britney was patient and quickly answered everything I asked via email, texts, and phone calls.
She deserves a...
I donât know how you can make those statements without knowing why they designed it with dual 12 V. batteries.
As for âno other manufacturer in the worldâ using that design I remember seeing ICE vehicles with dual 12 V. batteries as far back as the â70s. You can still see them in todayâs...
Not the case. Tire maximum inflation as stamped on the tire sidewall is a âcoldâ inflation pressure. The safety factor for increased pressure due to tire heating is built into that stated max inflation.
Anytime tire inflation pressures are talked about it is always âcoldâ unless stated otherwise.
It's more work, but because I can't insert waypoints using the Rivian app or the R1 NAV planner I have been using www.abetterrouteplanner.com on my phone, ipad, or computer to plan my route. That way I can insert whatever waypoints I want, and completely customize my trip. After I get it the...
Maybe you missed part of the article. Quoted from the article:
"South Korean regulators earlier this year fined Tesla about $2.1 million for falsely advertised driving ranges on its local website between August 2019 and December 2022. The Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) found that Tesla...
These (RivianRachelâs and Supratachophobiaâs) are good examples of why I do not use proximity lock/unlock. I simply do not trust it to work reliably 100% of the time, and I might not be in a position to notice it when it âfailsâ. I want to actively press a button, turn a key, etc. to...
It actually does not matter what level of regen you use. It is simply a matter of adaptation by learning to âfeatherâ the accelerator pedal. I am able to make both acceleration and deceleration feel as soft and smooth as silk, and Iâve only been driving my R1S for 3 weeks.
I can also do the...
Something that may be a factor in the charging difference is how much of the energy taken was actually used to charge the main battery. Look at the charging âSession Summaryâ. The pic is of one of my sessions, and shows how much was used for each category as all was not used for main battery.
Doesnât matter in Reverse or Drive. It shifts into park anytime you lift your butt off the seat. This happens to me every time Iâm at a drivethru lifting up to get my wallet out of my back pocket.
The 14xxx VINs were the R1Ts. The R1S was in the 12xxx VIN series in June. I got mine Jun 29 with a 12xxx VIN manufactured in June according to the metal GVWR plate on the door frame.
Since they were making 4000+ vehicles (combined T & S) per month the 8xxx VIN could be April or May build...
Possibly, yes. However, you have opted not to try anything. Several posters suggested following Ownerâs Guide instructions to charge or access the 12V. battery, but you decided against that.
Had you decided not to try fixing your ICE vehicle battery you would be in same position as now.
That is by design if you read the Owners Guide:
"INTERIOR HANDLES
Pull the grab handle to close the door. Pull the interior door handle to open the door. If the door is locked, pull twice to unlock and open."
Each to his own.
I don't care if there never is a FSD vehicle. I enjoy driving. I don't want the car to drive. I want to drive. And I especially enjoy driving my R1S.
If I want someone/something else to drive me I will take an Uber, a train, a bus, a taxi, an airplane, a streetcar, or let...
