Thanks all. Like most humans most of our drives are short(ish) or medium so the range difference doesn't matter. We do however do a +/- 180 mile (each way) drive to a vacation house a bunch of times/year. We have a charger at each end however, so again the extra range wouldn't be a factor there...

I thought about that but then given the lack of snow tire options, I'd wind up paying for this choice in the form of a completely new set of winter wheels and tires, as opposed to just snow tires.

I stomped on my Model Y a handful of times when I first got it - grins from ear to ear of course. But since then I've been in Chill mode 100% of the time, so, yeah...that .5 seconds doesn't really concern me tbh.

Yeah for better or worse we have a white floofball who rolls with us so we get light/white interiors whenever possible otherwise you see every single bit of hair and there's tons of it! I tend to agree that it feels like a lot of extra range for the $, though I am now concerned about it looking...

I have two vehicles with leases ending in May 2024. I've been pushing off delivery of my R1S (pre-price hike) until then. If they offer leasing by then, I will almost certainly lease even though I have the lower pricing to purchase.
