I’m glad I was not the first.. (AND IMO it’s not minor) CarPlay. It is truly my only beef. ONE thing that would bring SO much more functionality to my driving experience. But they already know that.🙄
Oh! Fantastic Idea! I would seriously use that ALL THE TIME! They should TOTALLY do that, it would instantly add so much more functionality and really round out the user experience!
FWIW… I BELIEVE I have resolved my issue on this front. I did TWO things… First off I am using a Lectron Adapter.. I got some compressed air and blew out both sides of the adapter, the Tesla plug and the vehicle socket all really well… That seemed to have resolved the issue, HOWEVER I also...
Have this same issue… I have a Tesla wall charger and the Lectron adapter .. I have, at least in my situation, come to realize that it is caused by the tension on the cable pulling on the adapter, and subsequently making for not a perfectly snug fit, so the connection is not solid. Strange that...
I do have a Rivian, and I do love it... but no I did not know at the time they had "never" plan in place.. thought it would be a "coming down the pike" situation. I don't see anything wrong with consumers voicing their desires for MORE functionality.... That IS how things end up happening....
It's actually not terrible. You may not like it but that is an opinion. And there are plenty who feel the opposite. Car Play does (and would do) a lot of things that the Rivian system doesn't and probably never will. Personally I think the map interface is WAY better.. but again, that its just...
I genuinely think it is a heat issue... Warm days I have an issue cool days (and nights) I do not.. That is really the only variable in my particular situation....
UPDATE: So dropping my charge rate to 34 has solved the issue.. If I try to go to 36, problem returns.. 34 is the sweet spot for me! Thanks again everyone!
So I tried this out just now and seems to be doing the trick.. I might ramp mine up over the next few sessions and see how high I can go before it reverts to the old behavior. Thanks!
Wondering if anyone else experiences this.. When charging at home (with a Tesla charger) my R1S will charge at a reasonable rate for the first hour and then will drop often by half for the remaining charge time… Any insights?
I ALWAYS lease and then buy out at the end… I have never had a vehicle that was worth less than the buy out and more often then not, turn around, sell it for a modest profit and get into a new lease.. unless I am so in love with the vehicle that I keep it for a few more years…??‍♂️
Me too… was going to attempt my own (non-invasive) fix… will let you know… And now that I’ve heard others have had service calls that makes the problem worse… no way I am going down THAT road!
