“Contact Us” now missing in App.

I just noticed today that the “Contact Us” option is now missing in the iOS App. This button used to take me to either an option to Chat or Call Rivian. The only option is for contacting Service is the messages that are tied to the service appointment. They’re not real time communications. Is my App just glitching?

So I had to call Rivian and was on hold for 10 minutes before I could speak with someone. I really like the chat feature, so much easier. It’s gone.

As mentioned, it’s still on the web site, just not the phone app. Chat is available both with the full desktop web site and the mobile optimized formatting for smartphones. Sign into your Rivian account and then scroll down to the bottom of that first page that loads.

Yes, “Get in Touch” with a phone option is similarly found on an iPhone.

Yes, I was able to chat through the web site on my iPhone. I asked the service support person why they removed the chat option from the phone. He was not aware they did and suggested I update my App, or sign in and out of the App. I had already done all that.

FWIW, this is not something new - I noticed that last month in my Android app. I'm currently on 2.19, so this in not something that was introduced in 2.20.

And as stated above, it's just been moved to a less conspicuous place:
Profile >> Manage account >> Get in touch

Yes, there's no chat feature, but that always sucked IMO because you couldn't paste into the chat and autocomplete/spell check didn't work for text input, plus only a few lines of input were visible at a time. That made it tiresome to use even for something as short as an og tweet. That, and it seems the chat representatives are less informed than the phone representatives.

If you go into the account page in the app, click on tools and resources, click on FAQ, it launches a web page with a chat option at the bottom.

Correct I can access chat on my iPhone this way after the update

Yeah, the chat lately is about as annoying as waiting on hold on the phone.
