11k tow rating dead pull or weight distributing?

I haven't been able to find this anywhere - is the 11k rating for weight distribution, or straight off the hitch? Many vehicles that advertise 10k+ capacity require weight distribution in the fine print for that number, something we can't do with boat trailers. They are 5-7k off the hitch otherwise. If the R1T can pull an 8500lb boat from the hitch, it will be my next purchase.

And I'm not a towing expert but there appear to be a few weight distribution hitches that are compatible with boat trailers with surge brakes?

Anf I have yet to find a WD system for my boat as the tongue is too long and narrow. Hence having to get an HD diesel to tow it.

Thanks again. Rode in an R1T today and loved it, as I knew I would having followed their development for a couple years.
