2 weeks after switching model to R1T, I got an email !

UPDATE: within 3 weeks of switching to R1T, they offered me a Feb-built 2023 LE matching my config. I didn't even need the shop link. The only difference between LE and Adv is that the wheel upgrade is free on LE (plus the badging), so I'm coming in $1,500 less than a week ago - schwing! I start 8 steps in a couple of days, if all goes well.​

Well, I was surprised to see this..... just two weeks after I switched to an R1T after my bewilderment of a Jan '24 - June '24 estimate for an R1S, I got an email showing movement. I hope this isn't a setup for serious disappointment! They wouldn't do that, would they?

Incidentally, I changed my configuration literally 15 times in 2 weeks because I am still not locked in on color and wheels. Every YouTube video I watch makes me want to change color and wheels.

Congrats on making progress! That email reads differently than the one I got to confirm my configuration, and I did that in November 22. Still waiting for my truck but I wasn't expecting it that quickly either. So it still could be a bit before you get matched. Others seem to get their 8 steps very soon after confirming so who the heck knows? ?‍

The highlighted part about minutes to a few days...take that with a large grain of salt. Some here have been confirmed since November, others December, and I was confirmed in early January.

I switched from the S to the T following the recent update and have a 2024 delivery time. Within two days of switching I got a guide and then a confirm your configuration email. It did not have all the text highlighted in the original post. Sounds like the continue to prioritize T builds over S.

I switched from S to T in early November and was config confirmed within 5 days and took delivery before the end of the month. Miracles do happen.

I never got an email like that, but an automated brand email from Rivian to confirm my configuration. This is absolutely the next step, and should also give you Shop access and Guide assignment if you want it.

I switched to the T 2 days after I got pushed to 1H 2024. Got a guide and Shop access the 6th, saw my R1S config sitting there in T form and grabbed it that day. Guide told me today it left Normal for Bellevue sometime over the weekend.

Same here! Was an R1T Max Pack who switched to R1S after they "dropped" the Max/Quad and then switched to R1T Large/Quad a couple of days ago and I got the confirmation and guide and 8 steps today.

Same. In November, I switched from R1S to R1T. I got an email in two weeks. I took delivery 2 weeks after that.

I switched my R1T from max to large in November then few weeks later got confirmed config plus guide. That’s been over 2 months ago so I’m hoping for an email soon. Btw my new delivery estimate is April-May.

So… you’re getting a R1S or R1T?
Confusing post. Maybe you meant a T with same color combo that you were planning on getting for your S.

Update: I confirmed my order and locked in on Rivian Blue and 20" AT's.

However, after speaking to my rep on the phone today, I actually have 3 options:

1. Take the VIN of the one coming off the line (the reason for reaching out to me in the first place.) But there is a chance someone already snagged it. (Lime, 21's)
2. Wait 2 months to get my final confirmed configuration (Blue, 20's)
3. Use the shop to pick one from Miami / Normal inventory (he is requesting my access to the shop site)
