I saw this. Laughed. 350k in miles on my Model S filled with mud, ice, snow. Same design with lip that would supposedly collect everything and make my wheels out of balance. Never had to rebalance my 2 pair of winter and summer wheels in all the years.

This is also the same design on the R1 wheels and none of us have had any issues.

Just about any wheel can collect mud. It’s not the wheels, it’s usage and maintenance (lack of it).

Just wash the vehicle after you go mudding. I don’t see what the big deal is myself.

I wash down the car (and wheels) after every off-road trip... this is not an issue.
