2024.35.0 Update Installing (Includes Live Camera View - Gear Guard Live)

Well, so far so good here. 2024.35 seems to have fixed the problem with my DriveCam not recording (and the system not recognizing that the drive was plugged in), a Gen2 issue. I haven’t confirmed (by looking at the recordings) but all indications are good.

And the remote camera access is kind of cool. Not sure if I’ll use it as more than a novelty feature but, hey….

Can someone pls confirm if these camera works in night mode?

Apple Music, drive cam, and other minor bugs improved on my gen 2. Seems like a reasonably stable release to me. “Biggest” problems is that I wouldn’t consider the volume normalization issue between songs is resolved for me. Atmos tracks are still quiet (vol 7-9) and regular tracks very loud (vol 2-3). Seems weird that that could be fixed in some vehicles and not in others, but it’s not a dealbreaker on the update.

The volume levels on all the Apple music songs Dolby Atmos or not are not as loud on my R1T after the update. Has anybody else experienced the same thing?

Anyone having issues with the climate settings on this release? 60 out and have the car set to 73 and it's blowing cold air on us

The highest temp I can get the cabin after 20 min on highest heat, is 86 degrees. Btw, it was 72 degrees outside. So definitely something going on here. Also, this is the first time I've used the heat since July delivery.

Drivecam no longer disconnecting, but not recording drive videos. Recordings only happen with manual eyeball press and horn honk.

I’m fairly confident the root cause of this is related to this 2024.39 bug fix:

Fixed an issue that caused the loss of GPS during a Navigation software update.

I’m guessing the battery exclamation is the truck saying “I have no idea where you are in relation to a charger so things look really bad”

We’ll see soon. Rivian cancelled my service appointment (thank goodness)
