2024.35 update - audio nerfed ( back to being crap!)

I concluded something similar after measuring and EQ’ing a Gen 1 R1S Meridian system running 2024.35.00. It doesn’t sound very good. I give my reasons, analysis, and EQ recommendations here:

Can’t wait to see your update for the Gen 1 R1T Meridian . If I were closer I’d volunteer my truck for the test. ?

So the update before 2024.35 made so much improvement ('22 quad LE R1T w/meridian) but the .35 update seems to have nerfed all the improvement. I understand they adjusted the volume to be better distributed on the range available, but all the audio quality, deep bass and brightness the last update gave us seems gone with the .35 update? Anyone else?

Also I have a weird issue with one song on apple music , it plays like the first 7 seconds and then just stops. It will never play the whole song now, and you cannot 'scrub' and fast forward at all. I have tried resetting, signing in and out of apple music and switching quality settings to try to have the song cleared from the cache and re-downloaded, but nothing works! Anyone else?

I AGREE. I had it sounding great but now it sounds like a common audio system. No longer impressive. "Ear-gerly" wishing Rivian would fix this.

Oh no! I was liking the sound of my Elevation system (2023 Quad). I wouldn't mind a bit finer gradation, but when I wanted it pounding I was turning it up to 20 for some songs!

LOL. My wife finds it too loud on 2 after the last update.

After the update Apple Music wouldn't even load. I had tried soft and hard resets... I'm starting to judge the QA process here... I had to log out of Apple Music, it then hung, had to do another soft reset and then log back into Apple Music. I agree that Spatial sounds like before it was ever added..

Color me disappointed in this release.

I've rebooted multiple times, logged out and in many times, tried the wife's login. It won't play with Atmos enabled. You can disable it and then Apple Music does work.

I agree completely, the sound system is back to crap like it was before the last update. With the previous revision I genuinely was excited to get into the truck to listen to music and enjoy it. Now it just sounds dead again.

Is everyone logging tickets to resolve this? It's unacceptable, flip it back to what it was before. I'll even deal with the uneven gradations in volume settings for how great it sounded before.

Edit: I did restart both the infotainment and the entire vehicle to try and get back to what it was before. I would have skipped the last update if I knew in advance...

Also anyone else has this? : anytime the screen changes from day to night or viceversa the “art” for whatever you’re listening to disappears
