Am i the inly one who is not hearing any audio or sound after a 2024.51.30 update?

Gen 2 R1S, standard audio

Absolutely no sound … no audio, no turn signal feedback, no vehicle lock sounds … nada. Soft reset yesterday morning, hard reset in the evening and another soft reset this afternoon.

Nope. You are not alone. I posted a thread with the same issues. Also, when it does come back it randomly has maximum volume. Which is both jarring and dangerous.

Found it, thanks! And it does make a huge difference, much louder and more pop now.
Wanted to comment more on this now that I've had more time to play with it. With Sound Check set to "on", the non-Atmos songs are very nerfed and quiet while the Atmos ones seem to be normal. When you disable Sound Check (set to "off") the non-Atmos songs are just as loud as the Atmos ones...which seems counterintuitive to what that setting is supposed to do.

I also did an infotainment reset that helped to normalize volume levels as well that seemed to help a lot.

I noticed the same thing as I was listening to and from work yesterday (40 min commute each way) I didn't need to turn the Atmos songs down as much as when I had the Sound Check in the on position.

There are automated tools that will move playlists for you pretty inexpensively. Assuming you have an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac should all work), then Playlisty is usually the best option as it's $2.99 for a lifetime license and will automatically move everything over for you from there (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/playlisty-for-apple-music/id1459275972).
The Playlisty looks good and does not require you to provide them with your Apple Music login information, essentially access to all Apple accounts, as a previously listed web-based service did. I'll give it a try, thanks.

Will wait this one out I think with these reports of audio weirdness.

How can they keep getting this wrong?
Lack of a good quality control process.
This is really making Wassym and the audio team look like amateurs. These issues have been going for 6 months to a year and they still can't get audio volume scaling right?

When I first took delivery, my Gen1 R1S listening volume was usually 12 - 15. About a week AFTER an update last summer, that went to 4 to 8, and it specifically changed when I used the Volume Control to dial to zero, and then pressed the Mute function on the steering wheel. Before this it was 12-15, after this it was 4-8. It was so obvious that something changed. The passengers in the car noticed it too. Resets and subsequent updates made no difference.

Now we have an update that delivers no audio to some, and others are in the 15 to 20 listening range, others have not changed much. Based on my user experience above, my opinion (of course I could be totally wrong) is that they are missing or botched something in software (this is a software defined audio system) that affects the low level hardware (DSP or pre-amp) configuration.

C'mon Wassym, this is getting ridiculous.
