Am i the inly one who is not hearing any audio or sound after a 2024.51.30 update?

Gen 2 R1S, standard audio

Absolutely no sound … no audio, no turn signal feedback, no vehicle lock sounds … nada. Soft reset yesterday morning, hard reset in the evening and another soft reset this afternoon.

I have no sound — exactly as you described. Nothing from any speakers, so sound from turn signals, rear cross-traffic alert (when reversing), no sound from exterior lock chime. Tried soft reset then hard reset then soft reset.
Submitted a ticket and booked first available mobile service appointment (April 1).

I have a 2024 R1T with whatever the premium sound was at that time. Since a couple updates ago Apple Music has stopped and started every time, I do experience a “hiccup” in playback when leaving driveway and house WiFi and switch to mobile. I have the trial for Sirius but haven’t really listened to it much mostly Apple Music. I have been annoyed at the volume changes between songs in Apple Music. I sometimes don’t even turn on music with my short drive to and from work(80% of my driving) and last night coming home was the first use after latest update. “Tom Sawyer” by Rush came on as I was backing into driveway and I was blown away by the sound. Geddy, Pert, and Lifeson could reach be distinctly heard. I’m also not an audiophile by any means. I was a big tape trader in my Deadhead days, and I have 100’s of other live shows from other artists I listen to. So sound quality is never all that great.

Update: I noticed that Apple Music now has the Soundcheck available for the Rivian app. I am unsure if it was there before this update, but I know this was not the case at one point. I switched off Soundcheck, and the songs jumped back to life! It is still not as loud at the same volume point, but not far from the last update. The gap between Atmos / non-atmos is still there, but I would rather deal with that than the muted sound I was getting with the Soundcheck. With Soundcheck off, the bass and mids are more pronounced, and the overall quality sounds much better.

Updated Friday and no issues or changes to my Meridian sound or volume and I use Apple, Spotify and SXM on a regular basis. Very strange, have you checked in with Rivian to troubleshoot? Maybe something glitched during your update.

Same here
(EDIT because the rest of the post went poof)
Amazon music volume has varied just a little from update to update but all-in-all has been getting better with each update
you can converse with passengers with volume at 5
you can rock with volume at 10

There is definitely a change in loudness after the last update. Atmos songs are now too loud at volume 16 and non-Atmos songs are too low and need to be turned up to 18-20

(2023 R1T w/ Meridian)

Amazon Music sounds better and better each update. I gave up on Apple Music after the free trial. Never sounded great on non Atmos tracks.

Will wait this one out I think with these reports of audio weirdness.

How can they keep getting this wrong?

Where is this setting at? In the infotainment or on your phone?

This is in the Apple Music app in the Rivian. Move the now-playing window to the side, and you will see a silhouette of a person in the upper right corner when you are on the AM home page, which is the settings for AM. This will allow you to turn off the soundcheck option.

You know the saying is if it is too loud you’re too old. ?.
I thought it was "Old Guitarist never die, they just lose tension in their G-String"

Found it, thanks! And it does make a huge difference, much louder and more pop now.

I am with you. I like Spotify much better as a music streaming platform, but their delay in moving to a hi-fi tier has left us with fewer choices when playing hi-fi music. Rivian has put its eggs into Apple Musi,c and it does sound better than Spotify, so I spend a lot of time moving playlists over from Spotify to AM .
There are automated tools that will move playlists for you pretty inexpensively. Assuming you have an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac should all work), then Playlisty is usually the best option as it's $2.99 for a lifetime license and will automatically move everything over for you from there (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/playlisty-for-apple-music/id1459275972).

If you don't have an Apple device to use, then other options are Songshift (https://www.songshift.com/pro), Tune My Music (https://www.tunemymusic.com/plans), and Soundiiz (https://soundiiz.com/pricing). Those all charge a recurring subscription to use (usually $5-$9 per month), but you can basically sign-up for one month, move everything over, and then cancel so not a huge expense either.
