Anyone else notice the Alexa voice seems to be ignoring the volume setting? It is very soft and the Alexa volume slide only seems to change the beep not the voice.

I tried an infotainment reset, no change. I sent feedback to Rivian through the app.
Yes, I am experiencing the same even after a soft infotainment reset and full reboot.

Before the update, my G1 infotainment was as bad as what others were experiencing. Now mine appears to function the way others were complaining about. It is several seconds lag between screens. Before it wasn't as quick as my Teslas, but it was never more than a second. About the time I'd think where is the next screen it would pop up. Now I wait for at least a second or two before it finally appears.

I really got nothing in this update that I wanted but Rivian very negatively impacted my control inputs. Even the traffic light sound is so delayed as to barely be useful. WTH Rivian?

I did reboot of course.

I connected my Gen 2 R1T to a hotspot while at work today to get the update installed. I've gotten into the habit of performing an infotainment reset followed by a vehicle reboot after updates. A few things I've noticed:
  1. My God low speed driving is so creamy now. I want to start driving diagonally over everything. Cornering seems to have less noticeable roll now as well.
  2. The exterior lock sounds stopped working. Toggling them off and on again in settings fixed them.
  3. The powered tonneau cover stopped working. Performing the tonneau reset procedure (press, press, press, hold) fixed it.
  4. My Tidal account was logged out, leading me to think they updated the app. I was hoping they fixed the missing album art issue but all album art was once again missing after I logged in. Playing Spotify for a few minutes and switching back to Tidal fixed it as usual.
  5. Infotainment is a little snappier when switching between pages/apps, but not by much. Not complaining, any improvement is welcome.
  6. Perhaps I haven't driven enough yet since the update, but the suspension seems...quieter? Or perhaps it's not adjusting height as often when at stoplights. Will need to drive more to be sure.
  7. PaaK at home doesn't seem as responsive. I have proximity unlock disabled at home, but was unable to to open the truck by tapping the door handle as usual. I'll try toggling the proximity unlock setting and see if that changes anything.
  8. Adaptive High Beams seem to turn on more often, and seem to react to oncoming traffic more quickly. I'm noticing them turn on more often in well-lit urban environments.
  9. The map's charging speed filter is borked. Having 50-150kW selected in the filter results in no chargers appearing on the map, even if other speed ranges are selected.
  10. The map no longer lists my home as being Open 24/7 like a business. 😁
Thanks for making this list. I would not have thought to check my tonneau. Luckily mine is still working fine.

I did do a vehicle reset and then later when I tried to back out of the driveway the display told me I needed to reset it. So I did the infotainment reset.

TuneIn logged me out but Spotify was fine. I don't use the other services.

My PaaK stopped working after the last update so I deleted the key and set it up again. After this update PaaK stopped working again so I deleted it and set it up again. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes so it isn't a big deal, especially since the truck was already unlocked and sitting in my garage. Maybe outside in the rain with the truck locked a failed PaaK would bother me a lot more. Still, I have the card key in my wallet...

I can't say if the truck drives smoother or not. I don't think it does in the lowest suspension setting. I have not had the truck long enough to really judge, through.

Tech told me to park the car, put it on Wi-Fi, set the fob in the car like on the charge console and select the fob update from the settings, (I think)

I've seen this come up on practically every update (e.g., someone posts the fob wants an update, and when they go grab it & get back to the vehicle, notice is gone). I had this happen to me once early on, but not since.

Has anyone successfully updated their fob?

Mine installed yesterday, btw. No issues this morning, although I'm not sure I noticed any difference in the ride ('24 R1T). Will try to pay better attention on the drive home. Might do a hard reset when I get home just in case...
I believe I did update my key fob a few updates ago. I assumed this was just another update.

For your tonneau cover, perform the tonneau reset procedure. Click, click, click, hold. It should fully open and then close.
Good morning! I got the same error since the update. Tried the three-click and hold. (I do not have a key fob) using the tailgate button. Can hear the servo clicking but to nada. I rebooted the truck (press and hold the outer most steering wheel buttons for 15 seconds) and then repeated the 3-clicks and hold, and that cleared it! Though the cover made a lot of popping sounds as it opened and closed.

Also note: It's 3 very FAST clicks on the cover button, then a long hold.

Installed mine last night.

Can't tell much in ride difference. Lots of broken pavement here in WNY, and it's maybe a little softer, but not astonishingly different. Lots of "one sided" bumps along the edge of the road that the center tire doesn't get. Didn't feel "luxo-barge" smooth, but it's better than before maybe. Hard to say. Still not as smooth as my Q7 was, but, that's to be expected.

Tried the lane change thing on I-90 this morning. That's a neat feature. With Driver+ engaged, I had been holding the stalk up to keep the blinker going as I would find the half push "3 blinks" wasn't enough to both disengage the lane keep AND make the lane change before it turned off. Took me a couple tries to figure out I had to push the stalk past the detent like I was turning a corner for it to engage, and then it will automatically disengage. THEN regain lane control. Weird system and not completely intuitive. Now I find myself checking to make sure it went off, instead of just holding it myself. No really workload lessening, just different now. More sizzle than steak IMO.

The ride quality of my T #9151 dramatically improved with update. Body roll has diminished and its much smoother in All-Purpose with soft setting. Thanks for the update.

Updated my Gen 1 R1S last night... everything seems good. Infotainment is snappy, faster than before, nothing logged out or anything. Did a soft reset just in case but it all seems to just work. Maybe I'm the lucky one this time!

At least for Gen 1 I noticed the suspension improved a lot for Sport along with Moderate and Soft actually being usable in both All purpose / Sport

Previously sport lowest with firm was jarring. Now sport lowest with firm is not jarring and even soft is usable because it's a good mix between firm and soft. Both settings on AT I feel like have improved.

Now I can finally use Moderate and Soft while still having decent roll control and firmness.

Thanks Rivian for continuing to improve the product and releasing the updates that make quality of life better.

I use to experience a lot of clicking and clacking when simply pulling out of my driveway. It was silent this afternoon after applying this update yesterday evening.
Same. Short test drive only but the suspension does seem to be much quieter now with no clattering at locations near home where I experience it every day. A very welcome update if this holds true!

I installed the update as soon as I got it, but haven't driven the truck until this morning.

I was talking to my kids as I backed out of the driveway as I always do (the truck has to cross a full-height curb where it's parked) and I was kind of shocked speechless. I wasn't looking to test it and wasn't expecting to notice anything, but the difference in suspension feel was big enough to take me by surprise.

Normally, as I cross the curb, one side would drop and then bob up and the vehicle would just pendulum a bit side to side, and that just kind of felt normal. After the update, one side drops and it just stays down, there's no more side to side ping-pong, it's much more firmly planted. I think rebound damping is dramatically changed, and imo improved.

I really didn't expect to notice any improvement, very pleasantly surprised how much of a change there is.

I didn't really notice any difference in regular on-the-road driving.

I haven't noticed a big change to the suspension, but I didn't have any complaints before. The biggest change I've noticed is that the truck sleeps way longer now and wakes up much less frequently. Last night my phantom drain was HALF what it has been over the last few weeks.
