The person I quoted second asked for where in the release notes it said to press the scroll wheel. I was showing him that.

I admit I was a bit.... brusque about it, but I've been seeing so many people, both here and in other places where technology is a big part of things, not bothering to read instructions, owners manuals, patch/release notes, etc and just going to a forum and saying "how do I do this" or "it doesn't work" without doing some of the most basic troubleshooting or research themselves.

I fell victim to my worst online behavior of "being too blunt and rude" about things. Apologies on my behalf to both you and elektrode.
Love to see the humility. 👊🏻

I work an internal IT service desk, and am very good about communicating clearly, thoughtfully, and patiently (one can instruct the same person on how to change a password or connect to a VPN so many, many times). I try to do the same outside of work, but failed here.

I'm leaving for a road trip in a week. Any issues so far with this update that should keep me from installing it?

If I wasn’t married and a dude, I might ask you in a date. (And just to show my age…”not that there’s anything wrong with that”)

This is my favorite reply to any post ever on any forum. And now I feel bad for getting snarky so will gratefully accept your olive branch and present my own. Well done, sir!

I have see sporadic reports of L2 charging issues on Gen 2. No problems for me (Gen 1).

Most difficult adjustment for me is increasing/decreasing UHF speed with right scroll wheel instead of adjacent left/right arrows (which now adjust driving style - mild/medium/spicy). I keep trying to increase speed and turning on spicy instead. It'll take awhile to gain muscle memory on this.
I love this, as it now functions like my previous Tesla. Very familiar to me. :)

That was the prior update, this update was supposed to fix it. I can report my Gen 2 now L2 charges just fine in cold temps after this update (so far, we have not got back into single digits up here yet...)

Yeah, that was the complaint…this was supposed to fix it but someone who didn’t have problems prior has them now. Saw it on Reddit, I believe. Didn’t dig into the post too much as it did not affect me.

After couple of hours with UHF here are some impressions of some good and some to be improved:
1. Nice automatic slow down for tight curves.
2. Being cautious and braking for pedestrian walking in shoulder
3. Anticipating stopped vehicle at red light with easier approach
4. General sense of confidence and smooth operation.

To be improved:
1. Total disengagement at traffic circle
2. Over alarming and sudden slow down for vehicles exiting highway in adjacent lane on right.
3. Too frequent disengagements
4. Need to introduce more “co-steer” behavior and reduce disengagement. After traffic circle for example it should automatically resume UHF.

Can I get your phone number so I can have my mother call you instead of me for tech support?

2026 Gen2 R1S dual max with .46 update here. Just started charging using Grizzl-E Mini 40 amp charger. It seems doing as usual at maximum 40 amp. So this bug affects certain vehicles only. R1S is charging at 8.8kw.

can anyone confirm that the bass has had it's cutover maybe lowered as opposed to just being turned up? the resulting sound is "better" but I would almost describe it as more crisp/pronounced on the lower end.
Prior to the update the sub on my Gen2 R1S w/ premium audio was out of phase. This was verified by both audio analyzing software and by removing the speaker grill and seeing that the 10" speaker pushed in with signal instead of pushing outward. AFTER the update the polarity of the sub has changed and it now pushes out with signal and at least in my vehicle sounds way better at the drivers position. 2 other speakers also appear to have changed polarity with the update although that is just based on the analyzation software. One is on passenger side of the dash and the other the speaker above the passenger door. Previously it was difficult for me to hear any sound coming out of the speakers above the doors but now all of the speakers seem to be working much better in harmony. It also seems to me that they may have changed the overall comparative level of the center speaker on the dash and the result is a much wider stereo field. Overall it now sounds fantastic in my vehicle at least in the front seats. I'll have to jump in the 2nd and 3rd rows today and see how it affected the sound at those positions.
I also have a Gen 2 without the premium audio but the update has not come through for it yet so I don't know how the sound was affected in it.
