EPA data doesn't show that they ran two tests here. They probably ran the 22 sports for the test and the range wheels will actually be marginally better.Not sure I understand the point of the 22" Range wheels when they have the exact same range as the 22" Sport. I know they are replacing the 21" wheel but why call it Range when it doesnt really give you any more?

One of the videos from launch day had an employee say the new range wheels would add 2-3 miles. I would have expected 2-3 percent or more. So this is definitely something I want to find out more about.

They haven’t provided much detail, but Pirelli is now making a new tire for Rivian. There is the 22” like we have on ours, but then their is a new MS version (from memory) on their website. We traded our Quad yesterday for a PDM Max and were talking with the staff. They were saying the new tire is an improvement in range vs Pirelli original 22” for Rivian.Not sure I understand the point of the 22" Range wheels when they have the exact same range as the 22" Sport. I have Range 22" wheels with Scorpion tires on 2025 R1S Max dual motor (Performance package).
I don't have data on how much wheels contribute to the range, but what I can tell from the first week of driving is that at 50% of charge it estimated the remaining range of 208 miles - 51% of the total 410 range. If this is true, they keep up with their promises
