Very impressive result. The range of EV’s has come so far in recent years…my first Mustang Mach E was rated for 211 which was fine at the time - in 2021! Getting 30+ more miles while towing with a work truck variant is pretty sweet and shows the potential for long-range EV’s becoming more realistic.

I'm surprised this has not been posted yet here. A very impressive result. I wonder how far the R1T+max pack will go in that test,

210 kWh battery! Unfortunately, TFL didn't supply any info on how long to recharge then from 0-70% to continue the trip.

Put a bigger and bigger battery in a truck and yes you will get more towing range but you’ll also have a 5 ton curb weight. Honestly not the solution in my opinion. I’m not mad at GM because that is what some customers want but I really think GM is going to have a hard time making money on these trucks.

A combo of a slightly more energy dense battery and more available charging infrastructure and the problem is solved. If that is really what Rivian does with their max pack (per rumor) then we just need the infrastructure piece.

So what miles/kwh does this translate into?

More battery is possibly more range, but without better efficiency, it’s really just a bigger gas tank in the car, not better engineering.
Looks like they got 1.1. Thinking a larger truck does help with reducing some trailer aero drag compared to the R1

Somewhere around 1.1 it would seem.

$100 give or take to fill up on the road. $11 at my house in NY and potentially $70 in California electricity.

That's about 10 mpg/e equivalent at electrify america or Telsa prices.

pulling down 365 kW from a charger is pretty sweet. I could see myself getting a truck that has the specs of the Silverado EV. I am not in any hurry and glad to see the improvement we experience year over year.

Given your user name I would have expected free with solar to be included. I liked that they included the fact that you do not have to fill to 100% on the road if you have a cheaper alternative ahead. On our last towing trip we had a bad EA charger on the way to our camp and only partially charged (~$5) then charged at the campground every day for the extra $10 for 50a service. On the way back we had a good EA charger so I charged to 85% even though we didn't need the range and while cheap was still like ~$30. However probably we could have stopped early and paid less then charged at home for free.

Chevrolet claims 100mi range in 10mins. Truck unloaded of course.

That was for the initial (and still true for the RST) 400mi total range.

So 25% of charge, presumably at low SOC, in 10 mins. I would guess this is a 10-35% charge.

Given the approximate pack size, 25% would translate to roughly 53kwh. Multiply by 6 and we have 318kw average from 10-35%. Absolutely insane.

Remains to be seen how long it can hold this. Because the Hummer certainly had trouble with thermals on a full charge. Hopefully we'll get the answers from TFL.
