Tariffs will make the costs more competitive
Great rebuttal.
I think part of that is a negotiating position or a way to lower taxes domestically by making up the revenue with the tariffs. If tariffs are the supposed savior, the alternative is to implement tariffs over a period of time across diverse manufacturing sectors - not the entire economy in one day. We don’t have the construction manpower to build all these “on-shored” hundreds/thousands of new factories in two years for all the business sectors affected, let alone labor to staff them. And no, robots will not replace labor to the extent that many believe.
That's a reaction, not a rebuttal.Great rebuttal.
Man your occupation in stuff and things must have nothing to do with economics…I think part of that is a negotiating position or a way to lower taxes domestically by making up the revenue with the tariffs.
As a vendor for more than just Rivian parts, I've been told repeatedly by customers that they don't care where items are made - they just want it as cheap as possible. It's literally something like 10:1 or 20:1 at this point compared to people who care where it comes from.Exactly. Easy to say on the rivian forum you are willing to pay more for things to be made in America but the reality is the majority can’t afford that luxury. And trying to solve that with tax cuts will just leave us further indebted to China (which I thought the party in power used to care about).
You don’t understand tariffs then. Or the effect of reciprocal tariffs. Or trade imbalance. Reciprocal tariffs will reduce our exports to those countries, worsening the trade imbalance. Sigh!Tariffs will make the costs more competitive, that’s the point. The reciprocal tariffs are irrelevant because we already have a massive trade imbalance
Putting more tariffs on imports means more incentive for American companies. What does that do to the trade imbalance again? You don’t understand tariffs then. Or the effect of reciprocal tariffs. Hey look another smartass comment where rebuttal should be. I guess when you can’t refute you just talk shit.Man your occupation in stuff and things must have nothing to do with economics…
You react because you don’t know how to refute my argument. It’s pathetic. Do better. That's a reaction, not a rebuttal.
Great response.
I won’t waste time trying to explain basic economics concepts to someone who is clearly into a cult.Hey look another smartass comment where rebuttal should be. I guess when you can’t refute you just talk shit.
I react because I can't believe anyone is that dumb, but here you are. You have not provided any proof on anything, why should I offer a rebuttal to an idiot on the internet that obviously doesn't know what s/he is talking about? The burden is on you to prove your point, thus far you've only proven how little you know (i.e. you haven't proven any of your points that you've attempted). You have no valid arguments, therefore nothing to refute and why you get a reaction. You react because you don’t know how to refute my argument. It’s pathetic. Do better.
I think you have some serious projection issuesI react because I can't believe anyone is that dumb, but here you are. Do the bare minimum, because it obviously hasn't trickled down to you yet...
I was trying to discuss policy but I guess it’s just orange man bad. I don’t give a shit about who’s enacting the policy, but you can’t say the same with this comment.I won’t waste time trying to explain basic economics concepts to someone who is clearly into a cult.
I'm not the one getting butt hurt from an Elmo GIF.I think you have some serious projection issues
