Looking for some advice.

Next week my power tonneau cover is scheduled to be installed. When Rivian scheduled the PTC install, I also scheduled my 7500 mile service. Issue is, I will only have about 4500 miles at the time of service.

Is there any point in waiting to hit 7500 miles before I get the service done or should I just get it done now???

Service center is about an hour away and I am frequently in the area so that is not an issue.

Depends on how much you drive. I like to keep it close to the recommended time/miles. All they do is an inspection and tyre rotation. It can also be done by the mobile tech.

My suggestion:

If the vehicle otherwise seems to be fine and you do not want/need Rivian to rotate your tires now, wait until later for the formal check-up.

FWIW, Rivian replaced three items under warranty when I had my 8,000+ mile inspection. I'll also have them do the 15,000+ mile inspection next month in case anything looks newly off.

Thank you for the advice.

So far, zero issues other than front speaker rattle which I have a service ticket scheduled when I get the PTC done.

Discount tire near me has jack pucks and is trained. Plan on getting tires rotated soon. ☮

For the dash rattle, I took a wine bottle cork that I got from Amazon (pack of 10 I think), cut it into discs maybe 1/4 - 1/3 inch wide, and then pushed them under the dash on the windshield side. Did that two months ago and I haven’t had the rattle since in my R1T. Did the same for my wife’s R1S with the same results.

Thank you for the tip. I checked out a couple other threads on here regarding the dash rattle and just decided to let the SC deal with it.

That is definitely the smartest course of action. I’m likely to get pulled over for having an open container in my R1T!!
