Having seen them both in person, I really don't see how you could confuse them. But given that most non "car guy" type people can't see the difference between an Accord, Camry, and Malibu I guess the confusion is inevitable.I gotta say that they should have started production of the S before the Wagoneer hit the streets because now there’s isn’t really anything special/new to it.
