I picked up my truck at El Segundo - but my 8th step opened before they had the new system. It was actually frustrating because I could schedule pickup and my truck wasn't even there yet. Which lead me to a lot of conspiracy theories in my head that something was wrong with my truck when actually it was just poor software implementation.

My guess is that the new system doesn't let you schedule delivery or pickup until it's passed QC at the service center.

It takes about 1-2 days after it arrives for your truck to be ready if there are no problems with it. You can call the El Segundo service center directly and talk to someone if you want.

Thanks I'm going to reach out direct in afew days if I don't get an update from my guide!
I found the service staff there to be really nice and easy going. They called me when my truck landed and we set up a time for me to pick it up that then updated in the 8th step. But this was in June and the process has been refined to manage expectations which is based on feedback a lot of us gave them about having control of the delivery dates too early leading to confusion.

My 8 steps just opened a couple days ago. 8th step locked with the countdown message. Being in the Cincinnati area, the Cleveland service center is only moderately closer than the factory in Normal. I'm a little curious where they'll deliver from.
It will be coming out of Cleveland.

Alright alright alright… heard that my truck has indeed arrived at the SC and is waiting to start inspection and final qc before they schedule delivery. Here’s to hoping it both passes qc and it doesn’t take weeks to clear!
nice! Hopefully this means the estimate of my truck arriving at South SF SC will be stay true. ?

It will be coming out of Cleveland.
Indeed it did. Delivered today at 1pm. Tonneau cover is already jacked and the compressor kit was missing, but otherwise things seem operable. And it drives great :).

My guide has been pretty helpful, just would have been nice to receive an OOO notification when trying to message him for the last 2 weeks. Part of me had also considered that maybe some guides were part of the recent layoff.

I am not there yet with my order unfortunately, still in the "waiting for an updated delivery window" message but, CS did confirm that I have not yet received my updated delivery window and that I would be getting an updated one this "summer".
Well... oddly enough within the last 24 hrs I received an email to confirm my configuration, started the 8 steps, and then received an email from my guide that he would be leaving the company and I would be assigned a new guide. Yee-haw!!!

Jeeze. I didn’t have any of this issues when I got delivery last week out of Cleveland. I’m also surprised you got delivery about a week after me of basically the same config and your VIN is lower. Strange.

8th step is still locked unfortunately. Right now I’m not sure if it’s a delivery or me picking it up but if picking it up I most certainly will poke around!

She said today that my truck shows still in transit with a Thursday 8/4 ETA. Estimate was a couple days at the SC then delivery. She said she will contact me when the truck arrives at the SC. Anyone else get an update?

No update here, I was going to reach out later this week. Thanks for posting this, without you and others posts I would have no clue why it's taking so long.

I'm in NorCal and was told by my guide they expected the vehicle to arrive at the SC this week, but I haven't heard anything. I've been trying to reach out each Friday for an update, but to be honest the information sounds far from firm.

I had an up and down day today exchanging text messages with my guide. My guide told me this morning that she had confirmation it had arrived at the service center and she was partnering (her word) with the service center for an update. I responded by asking if she had a date as to when step 8 would unlock. I didn't hear back from her until the afternoon but she responded with a question about something I was having trouble with, so it seemed like she might have responded to the wrong person. I let her know that I wasn't having any trouble just wanted a date for step 8 to unlock. She then told me that she was talking with the service center now. Then a few minutes later she said ETA is 8/22. I texted back asking did that mean delivery to me or the service center, and why so long (earlier in the week she told me it was a few days from arrival at the SC to being ready for delivery)? Since it was about 4:30pm (quitting time) she never replied and I doubt I'll hear back from her for at least a week unless something changes. Frustrating to say the least. I just wish they could actually provide some accurate info for once. I'd almost prefer no contact until they have an accurate date. From reading through the forum, sadly I think this may be typical for delivery status. Anyone else have any updates? Any luck calling the service center directly?

Wtf I'm so confused now. I'm probably in the same boat as you. Why would it take 2 weeks to qc a vehicle? Unless they are that backed up. My guide said go ahead and complete all steps in preparation for delivery. Which i did. She did not elaborate on a date, only that it was at the sc. I'm going to ask tomorrow and post it.
