You do, however it isn't instant. The day I got access/guide I saw it when I went to check my account for it (switched from R1S and knew I'd be up so I was checking daily). It was 1-2 hrs later I received the confirm address and guide emails.
? I'm one! Saw a config that was nearly identical except for the interior. I was open to opting for it but the wife tipped us toward waiting.My R1S shop shows 1 GW and 7 LG (mix of FE and BM) that I have not really seen move. There must be a lot of OC hold outs (hint hint Rivian) atleast in my region.
from what i can tell the R1S Shop is only for launch edition orders for now. if you have access to the R1S Shop you won't see anything if youre not one of those or unless they start opening it up to non-LE orders. the R1T does have a lot of vehicles but it seems like a mixed bag, some are earlier VINs which would indicate those are ones they couldnt deliver because they probably had issues they needed to fix while others are later which would indicate they are orphans.

What it really means is that Rivian is absolutely terrible and wrangling their own user data and matching customers with trucks. When your number comes up, if they don't have an exact match with your configuration in production or in the queue somewhere, you basically get kicked to the shop so you can match yourself. ...Some people get shop access rather than an 8 step notice even if they do match up with trucks in or about to be in production. My neighbor across the street was one of those. Actually he slipped through the cracks and had to call Rivian to ask what was up after no updates and not realizing he should have R1 Shop access long ago. They gave him access and low and behold, his exact configuration was right there in the shop... Rivian Blue with OC interior, 20" AT... But he didn't pick it. He ended up taking the Midnight with FE interior. He's supposed to get it s00n.
