Awww... I have been using my Trip B since day 1 as a lifetime trip meter. This morning, I somehow managed to accidentally hit the A/B selector in the gauge view as I was reaching for the reset button right next to it. In typical recovering former Windows user fashion, I tapped the confirm button as I always do, not realizing I'd tapped the A/B button enroute to reset until I saw the large numbers at the bottom and zero miles on the trip. :( Sad day...13.5k miles of data gone.

I'm sure others can commiserate. I and others have been asking Rivian for more trip meters for some time now...this incident just solidifies my desire. I'd like to see them add a Lifetime meter that can't be reset easily. I'd also really, really like to see a Current Drive and Since Last Charge. The Current Drive could be a current day or accumulate until more than 8 hours have passed since the last drive cycle, but wouldn't want to see it reset until the next time the vehicle was put in Drive after Park...so that you can still see the data say at a charging stop, etc. Since Last Charge would be fantastic for road tripping. I already use Trip A in this way where I reset it every time I charge so I have a record of what I've pulled out of the pack vs what went in to better judge range remaining since the dash only shows EPA range. Similarly, a Since Last Charge should not reset until you hit Drive after unplugging. Other cars have had similar meters for a long time now.

In other news, does anyone have a concrete way to submit either bug info or feature requests to Rivian? I've sent some to my guide before, but as much as they have on their plate that doesn't feel like the right move anymore. For example, I had a nasty phantom braking event this morning nowhere near an intersection with someone behind me this morning. Been awhile since I've had one that didn't have any obvious trigger and I captured a diagnostic log, but unsure how to communicate that with Rivian.

I am away right now but I am fairly certain the lifetime mileage is present in the section of About this car, the same place where you find your Vin etc.
Yes, there's an odometer there, but I'm talking about the trip meter data that includes miles, kWh consumed, efficiency, average speed, and driving time.

Well...I've had some issues with my electronics going wonky...they had the vehicle for a few weeks (had a Rivian R1S loaner)...they replaced a computer...and I lost everything. All settings. Garage openings, locations, history, music settings, Amazon account, Driver+ settings, seat settings,...everything.

What I believe they should do is something that I've had on my boat's Raymarine electronics for at least a decade - an option to back everything up to storage (could be the USB key we use for Gear Guard videos).

To be honest I was not even aware it kept all that data based on the trip A/B report....Til'd.

My Trip A is still going since the brith, now at 21K.

I’m new to EV and didn’t do well in physics electricity class but would like to learn what valuable information I can dig out of it?

Just nerdy data. Before a big winter road trip a couple weeks ago I was at 2.24 mi/kWh and 11k miles. The trip had such rough efficiency and adding winter tires to the mix that in the trip's 2k miles it dropped my lifetime average to 2.14 mi/kWh. Realistically, the data I'm getting from ElectraFi is higher fidelity anyway, but the API they're using from Rivian doesn't report actual kWh consumption so while it's a good estimate it's still just an estimate on drive efficiency.

I screwed up big time because I used the Trip A as the Lifetime and Trip B as the one I reset.

But, then Rivian decided to show trip A by default in the gauge view.

I do need to submit a ticket to request a "since last charged" trip meter as that's all I really care about.

I have 47,311 miles on my trip A. This exact moment makes me nervous all the time.

I really feel for your loss.....

We also keep Opal's total mileage record on one of our trip meters. I also would be terribly upset if I were to accidentally reset that trip meter.

I have been asking for more trip meters from the beginning. If we can have 16 garage door openers, we can surely have a half dozen trip meters.
