Shout out to @W1SE for kicking off this thread, to @jlack33 for pointing out the Apple watch integration, and to @R1SKY for sharing shortcuts. I set this up last week and have appreciated the hands-free convenience.

Of course, Siri is still Siri and seems to have a 6th sense for detecting when I am loaded down with bulky items and choosing those moments to fail miserably.

Me: Hey Siri, unlock Rivian.
Siri: Here's the number for Rivian Guide Ben.
Me: No, I said unlock Rivian
Siri: Working on it... Can you repeat that?
Me: Unlock Rivian.
Siri: Working on it... [chime indicating shortcut complete] [truck is still locked]
Me:
LOL. A couple of times when I asked Siri to “lock Rivian” she responded with something like “Block Rivian?”. ? I end up just pushing my watch shortcut.

And this is why I love the forum. I love being around for a while to absorb all the knowledge and all the tricks… and heck even sharing a few.

Here is one I will bury deep in this thread because it is awesome but maybe not big enough for a whole thread.

on maps (for those of you that don’t mind using it like me) tap with 2 fingers to zoom out. Double tap with 1 finger to zoom in. For me this is a game changer. Map doesn’t move while zooming.

Anyone else having trouble with iOS shortcuts lately? About 80% of the time Siri tells me:
Sorry, something went wrong. Short-cuts says, "The request to open "com.rivian.ios.-consumer" failed"
Often it works anyway to lock or unlock the truck despite the error.

I suspect my recent iOS upgrade to 17.1.1 is to blame. Double-checked the shortcuts and didn't spot any obvious problems with the config.
