Have a look at this portion of my PPF video:My understanding of ceramic on top of PPF is it helps water bead off, though i tend to be a little skeptical of these sorts of add-ons.
Summary: @twraps tested it thoroughly and even engaged a chemical engineer. On his Rivian, the half of the windshield with ceramic on the WPF looked worse (dirtier) than the side without. There was also some hazing on a body panel, but I think it was an application error. In any case, he found no effects on beading. When I asked an AI research tool it said that the PPF is already fully sealed and the surface doesn't benefit from ceramic.
