I just bought these from the guy in Tacoma yesterday. They are in nice shape. I'll probably leave them the silver color. Next step, snow tires and TPMS. Tires-Easy.com has Hakka R5 SUV 275/60r20 for $277 each after a 5% coupon code.

I'm interested given the recent snow past couple of days here in the cascade foothills. Had my first experience descending/slipping down the local hill on the OEM Scorpions AT and can confirm they are definitely garbage. The Michelin crossclimate2 on my previous Audi allroad were way better.

I haven't mounted my Ram wheels w/old K02s in many months. I might do it this weekend and hit some local trails.

In the SoCal area there are a LOT of tire shops which sell used tires. I got my first set of used K02s that way for $250 mounted/balanced. They had like 50% tread.

While I really want to try something new like a K03, with the amount of off roading I do (once every 2 months for a couple hours), I might stick with these cheap used tires and save some money. I can get 5+ sets of used tires for the price of 1 set of new tires.

Now that I type this, I don't even know what my point/question was lols. So what are your opinions about used off road tires?

I do check date code, load rating, and other things before I buy.

Thank you for the thread -- it made the process much easier. I took a chance on those TPMS sensors and installed them myself before taking the rims to Discount Tire to get the Goodyears installed. It only took about a mile for the Rivian to pick up all four tires.

Edit. Adding photos. All I did with the rims was clean them.

I just mounted them yesterday so don't have many miles on them yet. First impressions are that they are quiet and ride well.

I didn't want to make a new thread. Did something random/fun over the weekend with my tires on the RAM wheels. I always thought trucks with the white tire lettering looked cool.

I know you can get KO2s with white lettering, but since I only get used tires (I off road VERY rarely), I decided to get a few oil based ink pens made for tires and try to do it myself.

Came out okay haha. Since my tires are a bit beat up, I was afraid the lettering would be TOO white. But because the tires are dirty, the white immediately looks dirty. So it looks like it came on the tire from factory!

I got a set of 3 pens from Amazon and I only used 1. I'm sure there's still plenty of ink left.

Many thanks to @Riviot and others that have contributed to this thread. Finally have these sourced and mounted. Ride feels great. How it sits, IMO, looks better than the way it came. Slight poke, making it look a little more aggressive. Paired rims with blizzaks.
