Strange problem happened yesterday. I was using the R1T air compressor to fill up the tires on my other car as the cold weather had made the pressure on all four tires too low.

I set the compressor to 36 psi and then filled up all 4 tires. For 2 tires, the pressure was properly filled up to 36 psi. But for the other 2 tires, the pressure filled them up to 55 psi. It wasn't that big of a deal, I just had to release air from those two tires, but still, it was a modest pain in the neck.

I think if you press the play/pause button without entering a set point it will run until you hit the button again. Is that what happened?

Yes I did this the first few times before I realized what I was doing wrong. Unrelated to that my initial air compressor controller was also way off on calibration. Even when I operated it correctly I had to set the pressure to 10psi above where I wanted it. Rivian replaced the compressor controller and now it is within 1psi of my other gauges and the TPMS.

It sounds like I might need to reset the pressure for each tire. I think I did it the first time and thought that the setting would remain the same. Just guessing. Thanks.

This may be overkill for your needs but, in my limited experience so far, the MORRFlate quad kit eliminates the guesswork and makes it easy to use the Rivian compressor to inflate/deflate all four tires to the same pressure simultaneously.

I had the same thing happen.

I didn't do anything different.

I think what happens is the pre-set times out or something like that.

I just need to make sure I set the limit each time for each tire.

That’s happened to me before. Now I press set before each tire and then wait a few sec before pressing inflate. Haven’t had issue since

How long does it take to air up? (Say from 31 psi to 48)
I’ve used it a few times now to go from 32 to 50 and, depending on the ambient temperature, it’s taken the compressor 10-20 minutes. FWIW it only takes a couple minutes to air all four down from 50 to 32. ?
