My R1S goes back in the SC for alignment issues. Current issue I believe is a by product of their attempt to fix the alignment issues I had from factory. Unless it’s actually the pirelli tires. That is the last thing I think it could be if it’s not alignment.

Took them 5 attempts to get my alignment correct that was finally done by 12k miles, I'm at 21k miles and it's out of alignment again but not as bad as before, front tires are worn, back are new, needs balancing too, but my hesitation in taking it back for alignment is waiting 2-3 weeks for an appointment that will be my truck sitting at the service center for a week before they touch it, and being in a loaner again for a week, no thanks.

I am getting close to needing 5 new 20's. I'd throw $3000 at a Rivian service center right now, if they were capable of taking it and not make me drive to Chicago (and not mess up my wheels).

From a previously owned vehicle that ended up being a lemon law buyback (other issues), the alignment issue was actually caused by the rims. Maybe???

I'm at 31K with the original tires and still have about 1/4" thread left (highway miles)
I would rather get my new tires privately and have the alignment done at Firestone who offer lifetime Alignment.....

Rims is a good possibility. Recently change from 22s to 20s and my alignment is finally spot on. SC did 2 alignments and I still pulled right under 40. Although it wasn't consistent. Sometimes the 22s would drive straight. Service tech said to keep it in auto AP but that didn't make a difference

I went to Firestone this week and they couldn’t get the computer set up to do alignment. Have you had luck otherwise?

To clarify my post
I don't have an alignment problem. Yet, I'm about to purchase a new set of tires and I'm a looking for an alternative to the over priced Rivian service.
Did anyone has experience with other tires such as the KO2?
Did anyone was able to do alignment at a 3rd party tire place (Firestone costco etc.)?

Is it presumed you have to do an alignment after getting non OEM tires?

I had tires installed at a local chain Tire Discounters. Not to be confused with Discount Tire. They put on the Michelin Defenders, the new ones. Tire Discounters also does a free alignment with every set of tires so they did that as well. I think as long as you have the newest alignment rack Rivian has published the angles to do it correctly. I have had it back over a week with no issues.

Can you elaborate about the rivian angles for alignment? I'm thinking about going to firestone to get the slight pull right problem fix that rivian couldn't

Rivian need to get some experience on alignments and tire balancing. After 3 tries they finally got my alignment right. But then rotated my tires and now I have the steering wheel shake at highway speeds. Hope discount tire can fix it.
