Just picked up our R1S today (VIN 29XXX) from the South San Francisco service center. Couldn’t be happier. Handoff was super easy and everything went great. This was probably the easiest new car buying experience I’ve ever had. Poured over the car looking for weird panel gaps, window misalignment, etc. Found nothing except a scratch on the map light. Everything was in tip top shape. The only fault was they were suppose to swap out 20” AT wheels/tires for me at the service center but they were delayed several times. Still have to come back for them, but they gifted me the 22” wheels that were on the vehicle. Can’t ask for a better resolution than that.
Anyway, just wanted to post some positive experience vibes to let everyone know that quality is improving. Knocking on wood nothing shows up later on the build, but everyone has been pleasant to work with so far and I’m super happy to be an owner.
