My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
So I was just on Tirerack searching for KO2s, and came across this little nugget: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tire...65SR0KO3&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes

They’re supposed to be OE for a new GM truck, but even BFG doesn’t have them on their site. Can’t seem to find any comparisons to the KO2 on the interwebs. Anyone have data on the new ko3‘s performance?

“It’s 1 more therefore it’s better” is probably the simplest answer.

Tread is certainly different. More contact patch & less spacing = better on-road efficiency?

I've heard these are out for OE applications this year and releasing for all other vehicles/sizes next year. Take that with a grain of salt though...

These are #1 on my list once I need new tires.

Shows in-stock at Tirerack, and they’re in 20” Rivian size!

What kind of impact to range will these have over the stock 20s?
Good question. The website linked above says the KO3's weigh 63 lbs. each, and the KO2's weigh 57 lbs. each., so I would assume worse than what people are getting with KO2's?

Stock AT's weigh 48 lbs. each, fwiw (according to that website). #shrug ?

Load range E, so you can run them at 65psi and be in the same ball park on efficiency and of course you get a FAR better tire......

My understanding from something I read or was told.. yeah grain of salt.. is that the original K02 had some performance issues in wet conditions and these will solve that issue. Also possibly a more aggressive tread based on the photos.

Just got a set of K03s installed in OEM 20" size. So far they are quieter around town compared to the stock Pirellis with 18k miles on them. They are 64lbs vs. 57lbs for the Pirellis.

Running them at 60psi for now. I don't expect a major hit on range.

They should be around 1.7 in AP or 2.0 in conserve.

I don’t believe there’s any real word evidence to support that higher pressures give higher MPK (but would be great to see a test at 48 psi and then another test at ~60 psi to see what the story is…)
