Any 2nd owners receive NACS adapter?

Purchased my 23 R1T, 24XXX VIN back in July as pre-owned. Emailed Customer service about ownership transferring and requested the opt-in for the Tesla adapter. Received the standard "shipped in order of original delivery but we will contact you". Here we are in December, I've sent a 2nd email asking for an update but again get the standard answer. This time they include "look out for a shipping address confirmation email".

Just wanting to know: Has anyone who purchased a pre-owned R1 received the address confirmation/shipping message for their adapter?

I don't plan to use it all the time, but it would be a nice tool to have.

I purchased my ‘22 R1T, VIN 000045 from a Rivian employee (private sale) back in May ‘23. Got the emails for NACS adapter in April ‘24 and was one of the first to receive the adapter on May 2, 2024.

No, the original owner (also Rivian employee) did not receive the adapter. It would be nice if Customer service would identify whether an adapter has been reserved/issued for a particular VIN though.

My 22 R1T was bought used and I got my adapter in July.

They actually suggested as a remedy that I go buy the $255 adapter off the Rivian gear store.

Well, $225 actually.
And yes, 1 free adapter per VIN.
If the previous owner already opted in and/or got the adapter, then that is between you and them - Rivian is only going to send out one adapter. I hope you got all the other detachable items when you purchased the vehicle, like the portable charger, the flashlight, the air compressor kit, the first aid kit, the key fob, etc. Some sellers remove those from the vehicle and sell them separately to make more money.

If Rivian offered a retrofit port option, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Tesla chargers are hard to beat and almost always work.

Same. The conversation with service was totally unsatisfactory. I ended up buying one off somebody in the forum.

My understanding is that if you bought used you will not get a free adapter. I purchased my R1T used with 200 miles in very early May 2023 and never received an adapter. Rivian can tell if you purchased used because they had to transfer ownership in their system.

My wife did receive her adapter for a late June 2023 R1S (pre price hike reservation) delivery. I have the A2Z Typhoon Pro and the A2Z feels higher quality to me. My wife carries the A2Z for this reason and I carry the official adapter.

Currently using official adapter on this Silverado EV WT ?

Rivian must have skipped over you. They made the announcement this Fall that they weren’t going to send out adapters to 2nd owners going forward. You should have gotten one. My R1T had almost 21K miles on it when I bought it in a private sale in May ‘23 and on May 2, 2024 I received an adapter in one of the first batches mailed out.
