Talk to me Goose….Texting: I have my phone set to announce texts when I'm driving and it does this over bluetooth. I can also just say "Hey Siri" to call or text anyone and it works very well, also over bluetooth.
Haven't missed CarPlay at all really, but I'm not a Waze power user.
Does the car have to have audio set to Bluetooth to have these kinds of announcements use the car audio system? Or will It overrides the current audio playing, say Spotify, to do the announcement? That would help the missing of incoming messages right now. For outbound, I’ve found “hey siri” to be unreliable when there is other sound in the car (A/C, audio, etc). Have you found it to be reliable?
All the instructions I find for setting up “announce messages while driving” are tied to CarPlay settings. Any tips on how to set up without CarPlay? Thanks!
