I’ve recently started noticing that several of the chargers near me accept Octopus Electroverse for payment. Looks like it’s basically an EV payment network that essentially lets you consolidate all those stupid RFID cards into one. Seems like it could be a worthwhile improvement if you regularly use multiple charge networks that require an RFID card, and take Octopus, but I’d be interested to hear if anyone’s had any good or bad experiences with them.

Interesting. Even though they work with a number of networks that operate in the US, and their charger map shows a lot of available chargers here, membership is apparently only currently available if you live in Europe.

Hunh... We've been using that in Spain for a few months (with EV rentals, not our Rivian) and it seems pretty turnkey. I wasn't aware they had a north American presence.

(We do still tend to use Tesla networks for fast charging because of low subscription pricing and reliability. However, in Europe many of the chargers are occupied by Teslas that are simply parked there.)
