there is a Guide meeting with leadership tomorrow (5/27) and R1S delivery timing is a topic.
Ha...I almost had coffee come out of my nose....I really hope that the R1S delivery would be a topic.....like, number 1 topic. ;-)

I chatted with CS about my May/June LE R1S window. They said first that I’d get an update on delivery in a few weeks.

When I politely noted that they said “a few weeks” a few weeks ago and that I was halfway through my delivery window, so it seemed like this was a not-quite-official delay, they then said I was still on track for may/June and should hear from a guide soon. I won’t hold my breath. Hopefully we do get some kind of update by June 1.
Very similar situation and message I received... I have a May/June window, no guide. I reached out to CS on 5/2 and was told May/June was on schedule. After not hearing anything (including no guide) I reached back out on 5/16 and was told they were expecting non-employee deliveries (they volunteered that distinction, I didn't ask) to start end of May. They wouldn't confirm "on track" as they had done on 5/2 for my delivery but said new delivery windows would be communicated end of May-ish. I asked if that meant I wasn't getting my R1S in May/June and they said no, that it was still possible.

Checking to see if anyone has received an update on their R1S delivery timing? I signed my PBA about 7 weeks ago, 2 chats with Guide since that were still "optimistic" towards a late May / early June delivery. Reached out to guide yesterday who shared there is a Guide meeting with leadership tomorrow (5/27) and R1S delivery timing is a topic. Deafening silence with a twist of cryptic messaging.... but trying to stay hopeful and patient.
Any chance you got an update from your guide today?

FWIW when I made the same inquiry I was told by my guide my delivery window will ‘remain the same’ (April/May)…guess that means what it means…

Alright - here is what I received today, keeping in mind I was in the April-May posse. A few points:

  • My guide seems as frustrated as we are
  • But the messaging was that they were still on track for starting deliveries for April-May folks beginning at the end of this month (ie, what we all knew)
  • The guide was told a more specific update would be provided on Wednesday next week and another update would be provided as to what that means
So how am I setting my expectations? July/Aug instead of Apr/May with the caveat that it is dependent upon actually seeing deliveries start. Being in NC, I suspect my delivery would follow that of CA or IL.

Did anyone else receive an update?

If April/May is starting before the end of this month., I hope that means the March/April deliveries are coming the end of last month!

Hopefully that "more specific update" on Wednesday will be for all pre-orders and not just those with a guide. Hopefully you'll have some clarity mid-next week at least. My July-Sept R1S I am assuming is Oct-Dec now based on the (at least) 3 month slip for R1S.

Same, I'm telling myself "before the end of the year". If it's any sooner it'll be a nice surprise.

…as we saw with R1T the delays don’t necessarily mean a linear shift in delivery dates. Expect something akin to what is happening to R1T now- batching, logistical challenges and errors, customer preferences means shuffling of the delivery order…

Also thinking they wouldn’t have let the tech sisters spill their R1S Yosemite beans now if significant additional delays were on tap…

I think it depends on how many people were in the R1S March/April and April/May delivery slots. Realistically we are already 2 months lat from those windows. If those were very small groups and not many employees with R1S deliveries (I’m assuming not as many because I was told the employee deal was only on R1T models), then it is possible they could absorb many of those in later windows.

Personally I’m expecting my June/July window slips 2 or 3 months. Really hoping before year end but time will tell.

I was told by my guide that I have a 50/50 chance that I will get my R1S by the end of June, definitely seems like they are starting soon to non-employees, and will ramp production in late June
