Any tricks on reinstalling the trailer hitch cover?

Yep, I have mine off several times a year. It's a bit fiddly but no real problem. Helps to have it pointed down to line up the tabs, then push it up into place and tighten the screws.

This. I've removed and replaced mine several times without issue. After I push the tabs in, I just make sure the body lines look good and swing it up - everything lines up.

I find a little lubricant on the contact points where the cover slides on makes replacing the cover much easier. I just use a little Vaseline.
