I sent an email to Rivian customer service months ago asking for notifications to be added to the mobile app (charging started, stopped, completed, etc). I finally received a response stating that the app already sends notifications for those...but it does not. I just chatted with Rivian support who told me the app does not support notifications still, but they might add that eventually.

Honestly, how are notifications still missing from the app? That seems like a big oversight, right?

Awesome, thanks for letting me know. I wish Rivian could get their reps all on the same page in regards to it!
They might have thought it was already released since they likely knew about it before we did.

Agree, they at least should mandate that the employees read all of the published information. It is sad the misinformation reported from guides and CS.

If they are going to charge RAN idle fees, they better notify people.
Fees or not I would hope people are monitoring there charge sessions and promptly moving their vehicles. That is just the courteous thing to do.

Well certainly everyone is going to look at their watch and figure when they can get back on the road anyway. I'm all for idle fees but it's not uncommon for a session to error out and not having a notification about it is terrible not just for possible idle fees but also wasted time.
