As noted, I am using Bluetooth from my iPhone to play music, just fine.

Mine did that and a soft reset seems to have fixed it just a few minutes ago. Have you tried the Search or Library tabs? I could get music to come up and play using those two tabs, but Home and Browse would not load.

That’s not what people were asking. Can you use your phone as a hot spot and connect the truck to it thru WiFi? And does Apple Music work that way?

I got that and will try it in the morning. Even if it works, I suspect that is not a cure, but may have diagnostic value.

I will play with it, tomorrow, along with trying all the music tabs, which I think I have already done. Who knows? Maybe it will all resolve itself with a good night’s rest. Wouldn’t be the first time ?

I have the same issue. I've performed resets, have switched inputs, tried on LTE vs WiFI...no dice.

I spoke with support and they recommended using a phone to stream via BT. This works, but no Dolby and of course not a very satisfactory "solution".

Somewhat relatedly, wondering if others have the issue in which BT gets choppy when streaming to the vehicle and you put it in park. Has happened for the last 6 months or so.

That is not what I want to hear! I‘m paying good money to have Connect+ with Apple Music being a key feature, for me. Using my phone is not an acceptable solution!! I hope this is a temporary setback.

Same issue here. Spotify and everything else works. I’ve tried several resets, logging out and back in, wifi/hotspot, it just never loads:( hopefully the next update resolves

Happened to me as well. Tried resetting multiple times, putting the car to sleep (as suggested by Rivian support). No luck…

I randomly tried the following and it worked. ??‍♂

1- I let the car go to sleep (overnight), turned off Bluetooth and logged out of my App

2- In the morning, I got in the car and I logged out of my apple account on the car’s screen

3- did a screen reset (two steering wheel buttons reset)

4- logged back into apple account as soon as the reset cycled back on. The QR code should appear on screen

5- Voila, Apple is back

hope this helps!

Mine quit too. Of course we have no apple devices, none. This is Microsoft country and we have Amazon Music Unlimited and we really like it now and Alexa does too.

This seems to be not uncommon behavior with Apple Music....it is getting better. I found this behavior to happen most of the time when I'm leaving home for the day as the system switches from Wifi to LTE. The quickest to most intensive trouble shooting I've done ranges from stitching menus in Apple Music, to other inputs (like Spotify or Bluetooth), to a software reset, to logging in and out of my Apple Music Account. One time I believe I had to completely delete my account and start over.

Luckily I do see improvements to Apple Music with each SW iteration.

Well, I’ve done most of this, Including logging out of and into my Apple Music account, with no luck. I will do it in the order you did - log out of Apple, software reset, then log back into Apple - and see what happens.

Yep - Native Apple Music is now garbage with the latest update. Every other day my Apple Music decides to decode the audio only to the front speakers and completely removes the center channel so you don't hear any vocals in Atmos mixes. IT's bizarre. The first time It happened I really couldn't figure out what happened. I have reset infotainment once or twice to fix it, but now I'm just back to streaming from my phone until they can fix it.

I think the key is to let your car go to sleep (with all apps logged out and your Bluetooth turned off). Rivian says 45min is enough, mine was overnight.

When the car cycles back on it does an internal reset.

when I tried to log in and out of Apple without the “sleep cycle”, it didn’t work. Even with multiple resets.

Here's what worked for me: log out of Apple Music. Make sure you are parked (ie at home) and connected to wifi. Log back into Apple Music. Let it sit overnight. Apple Music back up again in morning.
