the reset the screen and the reset the car did not reset the audio for me.

rivian called it a "sleep" cycle. basically just locking the doors and walking away for (a period of time), then coming back.

Yes, I had similar issue with the audio, and a "sleep cycle" seemed to do the trick. I was told by support that if the vehicle is locked and stays that way for more than 15 mins, it resets a lot of the audio, and solves most issues with it.

Can't remember where I saw it, but someone reported that they could replicate it by doing something while in reverse.

Just an FYI, and please post details if you can replicate.

I had that happen to me as well the other night. Audio had been working fine for a few drives earlier, then took the truck for a drive to get supper with the family but no audio the whole way. Music shows that it's playing, can change to radio as well but nothing coming through. Blinkers and enabling cruse sounds work. After parking and going to eat, came back out and got in the truck the audio was working again. Weird issue for sure. Hasn't happened again since.
mine did the exact same thing. I called service and they said let it sit for 20 minutes to go into sleep and it's worked flawlessly so far since then.

Just picked up my R1T today from the factory. All the staff were great, as I was pulling out, noticed that there was no audio that could be played thru the Meridian system (phone, radio, Tunein, Spotify, etc..) Interestingly other sounds (blinkers) went thru the speakers fine. I worked with the Rivian staff and did hard/soft resets with no improvement. Had to ultimately drive with headphones listening to music...Anyone else with any similar issues. Checked with Rivian staff and all software is up to date.
Picked up my R1T on June 11; audio worked fine for a couple days, then third day, couldn't get any music. All other sounds through speakers were fine (turn indicator sounds, nav directions, etc.). Called the support line and they had me do an infotainment reset, and that solved my problem immediately. I hope this problem doesn't reoccur (too much), but this solution worked, and was quick and easy.

Infotainment reset: press and hold the outmost left and right buttons on the steering wheel, until the displays reset (process starts after about 10 seconds, takes another 15 seconds to reset).

FWIW, they also gave me the instructions for a 'full vehicle reset' (retains driver presets): press and hold outmost left button on steering wheel, and emergency flasher button (by rearview mirror).

I had this issue. and found a bug, but it went away after a sleep cycle. (lock and let it sit for awhile)
If you reverse and fiddle with the audio, it triggers it. A screen reset and full power reset does not correct it. I think it has something to do with how it auto lowers the volume in reverse.
I think you are correct. I was in reverse when I tried to adjust the volume and the sound got all muffled with no way to fix it. It sounds like you're in an apartment and there's a house party downstairs. Hopefully it goes away when I start up later today.
