Then if you want my 2 cents I think you should wait for that color. Your additional wait (if any) will likely be measured in months not years, whereas your ownership of the vehicle will undoubtedly be measured in years. Get what you feel good about sticking with.

Just got my confirmation email, and saw that I had a guide assigned as well!!

I haven't confirmed yet because I want to talk to my guide first to ask about delivery window. I am also having some last minute hesitation about my exterior color choice of Forest Green - wanted to see if changing to Red Canyon would significantly affect my window.

Called and emailed my guide but no response so far. This is going to be a loooong weekend ...

Checked my email this evening and was surprised to see an email asking me to confirm the configuration.

Scheduled a call with my guide to just find out if the XPEL wrap is an option for me at the factory. If not, no worries will follow what @Tim@XPEL has suggested and get it done with a local installer after delivery.

My config: LE with LA Silver exterior, black mountain interior, Reinforced underbody Shield and 21" road wheels. Will talk to my guide and confirm the configuration on Monday.

Please take and post some pics ASAP when received. LAS v Blue is still a struggle for me, so it is awesome to hear that you are getting an LAS R1S

Alright y'all, I made it to the service center today and got the closest look ever at the color options. There was a couple already there waiting at the "employees only beyond this point" sign and were making a bit of a fuss to see the colors. My wife and I hung back and watched as one of the Rivian employees came out to greet them and eventually agreed to take them towards the back of the parking lot. Sensing my chance, I said "hey, actually we're here for the same thing, can we tag along?" and he was like sure. Excellent. Thank you, random couple from Oregon!

I think most of the colors were represented - the only ones I don't recall seeing were Midnight Black & LA Silver. There were plenty of Forest Greens, including an R1S with dark 20s! Other R1S colors included LG, ECG and RB. There was one CY and RC R1T as well. Also got a close up look at the bright 20s which look amazing in person - most pictures make them look like a flat slab of shiny metal but they have a nice depth to them. Anyway, here are the pics I grabbed (all customer vehicles, camera is iPhone 13 Pro):

After finally seeing Red Canyon in person, I can confirm it is a beautiful color. To my eyes it does not have a ton of orange - I mean it's unmistakably red, and what gives it is "orangeness" is likely the metal flaking that catches the sunlight at particular angles. The wife actually came away from the visit liking RC more.

However, FG still has that understated richness in color. Yes, it is a darker color and the green can sometimes get lost and/or confused for LG in some lighting conditions. But I was reminded that in the right lighting it is hands down the best color to my eyes, and the yellow Rivian accents complement it so well. I've made my peace with it not looking its absolute best 100% of the time. I even got philosophical and said to the missus, "isn't that what makes us human?" lmao. Plus, as much as we both loved RC, we wondered if that bold bright color is something we would be okay with long term.

So, there you have it: our final decision remains Forest Green!

Configuration confirmed as of today. Now we wait!!

I think you made the right choice. I had the same concerns before getting mine, and then when I saw FG in the spring and shaded (and obviously plenty of times since then), I have zero regret. It stands out as green in the dark more than I was worried about for sure.

Thanks Brice! I had a half mind to message you this morning asking how you feel about your color choice - glad to hear zero regrets . You're right about the green standing out more than expected in the shade, there were some good examples of that today at the SC.

@sevengroove - Thanks for the pictures. I reached the Bellevue Service Center a couple hours after you. They did not let me into the premise but one of the employees was kind enough to get a LA Silver R1T to the customer parking lot and let me take pictures, get in to get the look and feel. I had to request the neighboring dealer to let me stroll on their property to take some good pictures of the rear of the service center.

His supervisor did not let him get a blue R1T upfront otherwise, the guy was super eager to help.

Could take only a few pictures of the blue vehicles out there. @KingTodd - Sevengroove's pictures are better than mine as he got a close-up look with his guided tour.

Posting some of the pics that I took.

After taking pictures and coming home , my wife vetoed the LA Silver and the Blue as top choices and we have decided to go with El Capitan !

Thanks for posting these pics. The LAS R1S is still pretty elusive. There are a few images on the web but they are usually in poor light are taking with a zoom and a little blury. While I like the LAS, I think it doesn't allow the RIVIAN lettering to "pop" well like it would on blue, FG, or red

Obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I'm not going to crap on anyone's color choice but I applaud your choice of El Cap. Seeing it in person today on an R1S at the service center confirmed that it was the right choice for us. Such a deep color with just the right hint of metallic flake, and looks amazing with the badging. Look forward to seeing you on the road in the pacific northwest!

Ok I can confirm there are three R1Ts in CR. One with black 20s which I think is an amazing combo on on the R1T

saw 5 R1Ss(could have been more) 2 ECG, 1 LG, 1 RB, 1 L

That should be our LG R1S! It is being delivered to us Saturday!
