Camp speaker Immediately Disconnects and Powers Down

My iPhone which never has any issues Bluetooth connecting to anything is having issues maintaining connection with the camp speaker.

The very moment a connection is made, the camp speaker disconnects and turns off.

WTF?

Sidenote… watching the 3 separate Rivian sensors pair and unpair randomly in the Bluetooth settings is annoying. No wonder PAAK and FOB are bizarre.

Is the speaker charged? Mine did something similar until I took it out of the truck and fully charged it with a 110v outlet in the house. It has been flawless since.

Apparently my truck is not charging the speaker. Great!

This is probably it. Manual has a warning that says “must be charged fully before use”. I figured it was connected to a 135 kWh battery for 2 months!

I’ve found the charging connection can be a bit off sometimes. Months ago I was trying to find the random beeping sound…. Camp speaker was just about flat.
then for awhile my phone would randomly connect to the speaker in the truck while it was docked. Haven’t seen that in a bit now either.

What was the fix? I still have this issue...not sure the camp speaker has charged in the dock yet for me.

After it was dead, I removed it. Cleaned the contacts, just in case, and then reseated to let it fully charge. Then after it showed a full charge, pulled it out - verified it was off and reseated again
I don’t always go to the screen with the status of it, but sometimes I see a charge level, sometimes not

I experienced the exact problem. Quickly realized it was not charged, despite it fully docked for weeks.

Took it out of the truck and charged it via the USB port and was able to pair it and play music. However, it still does not charge when docked.

I was able to get the speaker to charge (including the charge level indicator in the connect screen) by turning it on before docking and then locking the dock. It does not seem to charge when it is turned off and docked like we probably all expect it to. Fortunately, it charges quickly when it is actually charging. I have found myself using the speaker a lot when working in the garage.

Locking the dock is key, I always lock it when I put it back.
