Fellow Rivian drivers ... can we please start waving to each other when we pass on the road? =)

Since we have no Carplay.... let's just start being nice to each other and wave as we pass =)

I wound up behind an R1S the other day. Rivians are uncommon in my town (despite being not terribly far from the mothership in Normal). I flashed my brights but didn't get a response. No offense taken--it's easier to see a wave when passing than when waiting at a light. But, yeah, I always try to greet other Rivians--there are still few enough of us that the camaraderie is appreciated. I look forward to the day that our vehicles are a yawn--my RIVN will be way more valuable!

if you do a search you will find a few threads about this. I say post this in the SouthEast subforum(scroll down when on the main RF page), to entice others in your area.

I wave or flash my luces/lights in my area. The response is 50/50.

Took delivery mid July ‘23. Of all I crossed paths with only 3 waved back. So meh. You do you. If you get a response, good for you. Life goes on just the same if you don’t.

I see about 4 to 6 a day and since it's a common occurrence no one waves.

I admit I was slow on the flasher a few weeks back in Franklin TN and last night in Chattanooga TN so they probably didn’t see me
It would be neat to have an “all lights” option on the stem light like 18 wheelers

We moved from FL to Seattle recently, where there are a lot more Rivians, and now I get lots of wave backs. My wife thinks the drivers here are just friendlier than in FL. Whatever it is, I'm getting a lot more waves. I'll keep waving - love this truck and the fun and interesting people who drive them!

I live in Seattle and while i don’t know FL drivers I can say Seattle drivers are not nice. All credit for waves received goes to your Rivian.

In South Texas, everyone will wave at fellow Rivian drivers. It’s a good feeling. When I drove through Colorado, I felt it was more “shit, I better wave or this Texas dude will hate me” and reluctant. ?. But only because Colorado probably has the second most Rivians in the country and they are tired of it. I mean, literally, at 2 am from Denver to Crested Butte…10 Rivians. ?? (Love Colorado and want to call it home someday . ?)
