Been driving my 2026 R1T for a bit. Are the center console buttons normally hit or miss?

Sometimes I have to press three times. Sometimes one time. Sometimes I try one, then the other and then both, then back to first one and it opens.
Press hard, press light, press both. Always hit or miss.

What am I missing? If it was a button issue it would be odd to affect both buttons erratically. Have done a hard reset.

They are wonky and often temperamental.

I actually had them serviced/replaced in my Gen1 as the driver side stopped responding completely. In my G2 they're weird but not to a point of uselessness.

I initially thought that mine were hit or miss but then I noticed that I just wasn't hitting the buttons hard enough. My buttons click and do nothing but if I push farther past the detent, it opens every time.

I agree. Thought they were defective on our '25 R1S then figured out they require a hard press.

I asked the SC about this when I was there last time. They told me the buttons need to be pushed with 3 fingers, not one, because of where the actual button actuator is.

Once I started doing that I didn't have any problems.

Tried it on the commute this morning. I think its the hard press. 3 finger was still spotty. Of course, I've thought I had it down in the past but the 5-6 times I tried with a hard press worked. Will see. thx all.
