Wonky cabin lights when opening doors

When waking from sleep and opening rear doors, I'm noticing the cabin lights don't come on when opening the LR but they do if opening the RR. Pretty much repeatable, not a one time thing. They also come on with the Fronts.

Is this a service issue, a Rivian SW quirk or I missed something in the owner's manual?

Yeah, I usually do after a SW release and its been there the last versions.

Considering I'm not alone on this, I think it's a SW glitch. I was wondering if there was a dome light setting somewhere I missed but guess not. I have a service appt soon, I'll mention it and see what they say.

Before the update I reported while the accent lights light the ceiling lights do not light when opening the door while the vehicle is asleep. You only experience this if your doors were unlocked while approaching and opening the door because it you have to unlock it then it wakes the car up. This occurs regardless of which door you open

thx. Sounds like a similar issue with different conditions. For me, the car is asleep, I walk up and it wakes up (I use PAAK) and unlocks. Then open doors. If I open the left rear first, no dome lights. Open the right rear first, I get dome lights. Open the front first, dome lights. So it's only one door doing it and from a locked/sleep stage. It's also not 100% of the time.

Not a big deal, was curious more than anything. Reported it to Rivian feedback as well. Maybe we see it as a fix new SW versions.

A week ago in my gen 2 R1T, the reading lights came on and would not turn off, the driver side on steady, the passenger side flickering. They stayed on while driving and while parked. The touch switches had no effect. A soft reset did not fix them but a hard reset did.

I have never had consistency with the lights coming on when opening the rear doors, sometimes they do sometimes they don't. 2.5 years old Gen 1.
